Great little pedal & for a fantastic price. The next day, free delivery from Donner was superb.

After reading all the bad reviews I didn't think I'd see my item at all but it showed up about four days after ordering it, in spite of the Christmas post. My son says it works a treat and is light enough to carry to gigs in a pocket.

I'm really satisfied

I purchased this Donner Beltway "Mini -Looper" expecting just a average product. I was pleasantly surprised that it was solid and well built. I was able too record up to 10 minutes. Now I'am able to practice alongside chord progression's, I make myself, while I'am sharpening my Lead Skills. Definitely a welcome addition to my quest to play better.

I liked the looks of it.

I haven’t tried the usb input yet, but the functionality of this looper is solid

Solid housing and great input and output jacks with no wiggle or looseness. Light has two colors to show playing recording and overdub and is plenty bright. The dip switch has two alternate modes, reverse and half time and the knob is useful to control the output volume from the pedal. A lot of value in a little pedal!

No delay in the loops which is the most important part.

When I received the package, I was immediately impressed with the packaging and presentation of the pedal for the price.
The pedal itself works like a dream. I’ve had zero issues with it. The pedal is super easy to learn how to use and comes with instructions on what the different colors and flashing of lights mean. The volume knob works great and I love the reverse and half speed functions on this pedal. It’s just so simple!
Overall, I love this mini pedal and would recommend it to anyone. The simplicity and quality is unmatched at this price. I am also a huge Donner fan. Donner has amazing customer service and actually reached out to me to see if the pedal was working like it should.
This is an amazing buy!

This pedal is amazing, that’s all I can say. I am a Donner fan already as I have their standard beginner electric guitar kit and a few cables. These are also wonderful products and I would recommend them to anyone.

My boss DS-2 broke, so I figured I'd replace it with a cheaper option. I have no regrets on this purchase, and its been working great for what I need. The pedal is small and takes up very little room on my pedal board, which I think is great for a looper. Its an aluminum frame, and is very sturdy. I haven't used the USB feature yet, and probably never will, but its there if anyone would want it. Highly Recommend this looper.

I've been using this pedal for about 3 months now, and it has been working great.

The sound is very clean, no distortion or button clicks. The button, jacks, switches and volume knob, and importantly the case is solid and sturdy.
This is great for practicing, song writing, as well as performing. It will require a center-negative 9v power supply like most other pedals.
The LED Is very bright at any angle which is important and helpful.
The price is right for buying more than one and stacking them for incredible loops and song building.

This pedal is like most other loopers. Plug in, play, tap to record and tap to stop and there it is. Your guitar, bass or vocal part is looping.

Tap 1x (green light flashes) its recording. Tap when finished, (changes to red light) sound clip plays over and over. Tap again (3rd time green and red alternates) to dub or record over 1st recording. Tap 2x quickly to Stop play. Hold down to clear memory.
Has a switch for 1/2 speed, Regular and Reverse playback. Also a Volume/Output knob.
Works quickly and easily. In the photo I use it at the end of my pedal chain to pickup the effected recording. It also works VERY well at the beginning to record a phrase and play it on repeat while I dial in pedals and amp settings.
This is an excellent investment!
There are several Donner loopers, check them all out before deciding.

Right out of the box this looper worked and sounded terrific! I had a bit of difficulty figuring out the button sequence to record, overdub, and clear, which is why 4 stars out of 5, but once you get the hang of it, the Beltway Pedal works very well. Another plus is the USB connection enabling you to download backing tracks and save your own loops. I have not tried this yet but I did notice that the supplied USB cable is not very long, which, if you are connecting to a desktop computer, you might need to use a longer cable. Value for the money - Excellent!

This is not my first Donner pedal and I am always impressed with the packaging!

Solid construction with a well built switch. Included in the box is a cable to connect via USB to easily save your recorded loops to your computer. It's super easy to use with one switch, one volume knob, and a three way selector switch. The selector switch is for normal playback, half speed playback, and reverse playback. You can loop as many times as you want and easily delete the last loop if you don't like it. This pedal is very easy to fit on a pedal board and is an indespinsable practice tool. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a looper pedal to try this one out. I have other much more expensive loopers and this one functions as well with the added toggle functions for some extra fun. With ten full minutes of record time, there is more than enough to catch a full song in a loop. Can't say enough how much I have enjoyed my Donner products.

The beltway looper is very nice and very easy to use.

It is about 1/4 of the size of my other pedals. It holds up to 10 minutes of recording, with infinite re-do's and overdubs. It plays at 1/2, full speed and reverse. It is very simplistic and intuitive. 1 knob, 1 switch and 1 toggle. It comes with a USB cable for transferring in and out of the computer. It feels heavy and of good quality in your hand. I can't believe it took me this long to find this pedal. The day it came I burnt up a whole afternoon playing with this thing. Only downside, it doesn't come with a power cord and it doesn't take batteries. I'm ok with both cuz I hate batteries and I have the power......

I have wanted one for a long time but most of them are very cost prohibitive. Along comes Donner with their under half of what the other guys want pedal.

I've been looking for a looper pedal for months now and decided to give this one a try. I've used Donner pedals before in the past and have been happy with them so I assumed this would be of similar quality. I was right. The pedal is made of metal and has a nice weight to it, it feels like a quality piece.
I took a picture of the instruction sheet so you can see all the functions this thing has. At first it was intimidating when I saw that but in practice it's actually very easy to use and understand. It took a little practice to get the timing down but once I did the pedal gave me very precise, great sounding loops.
It also allows you to save the sound clips to your PC via a USB cable which is very quick and easy to use.
Overall for someone like me who is just getting into using a looper pedal this one worked out perfectly. I'd absolutely recommend it.

I have bought a few Donner pedals, and they are really good!

This is a basic looper pedal. No real bells and whistles but it does what it does well. The standard loop function is about what you'd expect. The non latching button is great makes it easy to push on the beat.
A metronome is prob needed to get your timing down as there is no built in one as more fully featured loopers include.
The two other features 1/2 speed, which 'slows the tape' also lowers the pitch of the loop making it unusable for a learning solos but I have uses for ambient noise and the reverse is just fun. Blackened anyone?
With no tempo there is no quantization so will take some practice to get timing down but this is definitely usable in the bedroom and garage.
There is a usb out to save loops and add tracks with included cable. I have yet to try that function as there is little publishing going on over here haahahaaa.
Oh and stickers! I love stickers

Looping is a crazy amount of fun, and you will definitely improve your rhythm and harmony skills in using a little pedal like this.

All of my Dinner pedals have been VERY GOOD quality. Simple looper. Nice.

The USB C port: Allows you to copy over the .wav file the pedal stores all your loops in. So while I wouldn't recommend this as a true recording solution if you do happen to create some cool loops and want to preserve them that option is there. I haven't come across this in a looper, especially one so inexpensive and small but it's a neat idea. It just feels natural with all these digital pedals to give them some sort of USB connectivity.
The toggle: Allows you to switch your playback between normal speed, half speed, and reverse. This I have seen on other more expensive loopers so the inclusion here is very nice. The half speed mode makes a guitar sound like a digital bass guitar played slowly, and reverse can bring in all kinds of fun noises. Honestly one could waste a lot of time just making odd sounds.
As for the sound quality of this pedal it's pretty much an exact replica of what you put into it. So if you've got a good sound going in then your loops will sound good, and the opposite is true.
The build is similarly good. I've had several Donner pedals now and they've all been the better examples of this market segment. They're noiseless, don't pop on activation, feel sturdy, some of them weight quite a bit more then you'd expect too. If someone ran over my looper I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see it come out unscathed.
So in closing I'd say if you're in need of a basic looper this is the one to get.

Okay so I’ve had the Donner Beltway Looper pedal for a week now and let me begin by saying this pedal was everything I thought it would be and more. This is a perfect pedal to play loops and create music. The pedal itself feels very sturdy and the quality is great. Donner does a great job with their mini pedals. This looper allows you to record and loop easily, then play over your loops. You can also record loops on top of loops which makes it even more versatile when playing music. The pedal comes with an instruction manual that explains the indicator LED colors and how to record loops. You can use the switch for 3 speed settings on loops: normal, 1/2 speed, and reverse, which is pretty awesome. There’s a max recording time of 10 minutes which is more than enough for me. What surprised me most is that this pedal has a USB jack and built-in memory, which allowed me to transfer any loops or “tracks” I had saved to my laptop. You can even import audio files in .wav format which allows you to explore even more sounds. I use this pedal to practice and play solo parts over simple riffs, and it’s been great. It’s easy to set-up and easy to use. Donner did a great job on this looper pedal!

Like any Donner Pedal you order, the 1st thing you will notice is that The Beltway Looper comes in a nice-looking, protective container. It's insulated with foam, has complete directions, and even includes some cool decals if you are in to that. I have to wear reading glasses to read the directions, but they are simple and straight-forward so not a big deal. I'm new to Looper Pedals, so I did a little homework 1st and that made using this pedal simple. As you can see by my pedal board photo I applied it to the end of my "Donner Pedal" chain to take advantage of all the effects pedals I have. Since this is a "Nano" or mini-size pedal, there is no 9-volt battery slot, my Donner Power Supply worked just fine.
The key to using a Looper pedal is to know what you want to loop, and then practice it a few times. Once you have it you tap the pedal in time and the indicator light turns red to show you are recording. Tap again at the end and the light turns green, and your loop is now playing through your source...Simple! As a training aid this is great, you can loop a simple chord progression or bass riff, and then do whatever you want with the loop. If you aren't happy with it just hold down the button and erase the loop. Or, tap the pedal again and now you are overdubbing another track on top of the 1st, I looped 3 tracks on top of each other with no problem. When erasing you hold down the button and erase the last track you looped. Donner says there is enough on-board memory to fill 10 minutes, it may be a while before I hit that threshold. There is a switch for Normal, 1/2 speed, and reverse play, to add more functionality to the pedal. There is also a volume switch on the pedal that is very useful to add or reduce the volume of your loop independent of the volume of your source.
This pedal comes with a USB cord to hook up to a computer for downloading/uploading tracks. I found a website and using the directions I was able to download a drum track to use with no problem. The only issue that you will run into here is making sure you have a power source to power the pedal during your computer time. The last thing I did with the pedal was to put together a small 3-track loop, and then as if it was the greatest thing I had ever created I uploaded it to my computer. I am very pleased with the functionality of this pedal, Donner continues to make affordable, useful products that make creating music easy and fun. If you are looking for an easy-to-use, mini-looper with plenty of space, The Donner Beltway Looper is for you!
