This is my first Ato sax, and it was love at first sight. The Antique Red finish is exquisite. The sounds it delivers are full rich, particularly in the lower register. The keys respond well, there are no sticky or leaky keys. It is a well made instrument which comes complete with all the accessories needed to play and look after the instrument (except for the cork gresse) .Included is a number of cane reeds and one synthetic reed, a neck strap, gloves and cleaning clothes. A very useful little Sax stand, which does not fit in the durable case in which everything else fits nicely.
I would definitely recommend this instrument to anyone wishing to discover the joys of learning to play the saxophone... A great purchase, thank you Donner!!

I love my new saxophone made by eastor!!!! Sounds great played right out of the box. Great beginner instrument and the price is fair. My only complaint I purchased the antique bronze colored one and I fell the engraving of the name EASTOR should be bigger and more noticeable. If the company was willing to make me one with a larger engraving I would gladly swap! I’m proud of my horn and EASTOR should be also!!!!

I wasn’t expecting anything more than just a basic beginner instrument.. It’s well beyond that, nearly every note is in tune according to the Peterson strobe, the action is great, and it looks really nice… It’s definitely a buy if you are looking to learn the sax and not break the bank, I wouldn’t hesitate to gig with it… You’ll probably want to upgrade the strap and mouthpiece at some point, what comes with it is fine though… I use the Legeir synthetic reeds 3.0 American cut with a Yamaha mouthpiece and Rovner ligature, about ￡80 for all and it made it an amazing instrument for the price…

This Alto Saxophone is perfect for the beginner user. Sound quality, craftsmanship, and overall good balance with key action. The only things I did change were the mouthpiece, the ligature, and the neck strap. These items were designed on the cheap end. My father purchased me a Selmer S80 mouthpiece and I purchased a Vandoren ligature. They fit and bring out a great sound. And the Adorence premium neck strap is a very comfortable fit that is easy on the neck.

This sax rocks. I am surprised at the price, so are other sax players I know. Easy to play up and down. I saw some reviews that say they had to bend the valves open because they were stuck closed. For shipping, Eastar places small pieces of cork to hold the keys closed. Take these out! Duh!. You will love this Sax.

Very surprised how much value I received with this package deal! You get everything you need to start and then more. The swabs and cleaning cloths are excellent! The saxophone stand is very generous. The case is on par with many of the soft cases I’ve seen over the years; I really like the plastic cutout for the mouthpiece. The unbranded reeds are decent enough, but what really surprised me was the synthetic reed it came with; great quality and ideal for a beginner as I notice new students tend to mishandle the wooden reeds in the beginning. Last but not least, the saxophone.. I ordered the red bronze finish and I am absolutely in love! The craftsmanship is excellent! On top of looking gorgeous, this saxophone plays so well I was blown away! Sound quality is superb! Overall I am very impressed with this deal. Eastar did a great job with this instrument. Highly recommend for beginners. Just like with any instrument you buy, check all the keys and give it a good play through as soon as you get it. I was fortunate enough to receive a nearly flawless model, but like all things you buy online other results may vary.

They put these safety tabs to prevent the notes from moving there are a lot of them make sure you remove them before playing, The sax for the price is ok, Defiantly for a beginner to learn and have fun with, Comes with everything you will need to start out. The quality sounds like it should.

I just got this saxophone in the mail today. The sound achieved by the sax was actually way better than I expected. I used to play in middle school and high school and it literally has been 20 years since I haven't touched a sax, this is the perfect fit for someone who is ready to jump back in without having to drain your wallet. The package was a lil beat up from shipping you know those brutes at FedEx throw it harder if it says fragile. However the sax inside that super nicely packed case was unharmed, it came with everything advertised. Yes it's cheap items it's not high end gloves, reeds, mouth piece, or cleaning cloths however for starting with nothing this is all you need in one package. The synthetic reed that comes with don't throw it away like I did lol! It looked weird like a mock up reed it's very plain and black however it gives a full sound I'd say it's a better reed than the cane one's that come with the sax. I will suggest dropping a lil more cash and investing in your own 4C Yamaha mouth piece and some decent cane reeds depending on your level choose the right size I like 2.0 and 2.5 but beginners like young adults should probably start at 1.0, or 1.5. Always try cane reeds first before buying a synthetic one like Légiére reeds because those are 30 dollars per reed so you wanna make sure you have the right size before you blow your cash on it. From what I know Legiere will replace 1 reed per year if yours breaks or is the wrong size. Anyway back to the sax. The pads are very good for the price and the finish is beautiful with very nice craftsmanship. The mouth piece and the neck fit perfectly. Non of the keys stick. It also comes with a free sax stand usually those run for 30 bucks a pop. Not the greatest quality on the stand but padding is good and sturdiness is great it's made of a strong aluminum not bendable easily, and it's incredibly light weight. Frankly I'm amazed and I from now on may become an Eastar fan. The quality plus price cannot be beat. The sound is good enough for beginners and intermediates if you are an expert obviously I do not recommend this sax as the sound is not as warm as other saxophones out there. Would I recommend this product to beginners and intermediates? Absolutely.

Got this for may daughter in 5th Grade Band. She has been playing flute, and wanted to try something new - she is absolutely delighted with this instrument. Nice looking, plays well, excellent set-up out of the box. Her band teacher was quite happy with the overall quality and performance of this saxophone.
Word of Advice - buy some extra reeds! The reeds that came with it were fine, but I had not realized that the reeds are so fragile, that even in a box of NEW reeds - 3 out of 10 are usually 'duds'. If you are new to instruments like this, having a dud/difficult reed is very frustrating - especially if you aren't aware that not all of them are 'perfect'. The last thing you want is to get a new sax, and have difficulty playing because your reeds are wearing out.
