Great bit ok kit that allows you to play your guitar without upsetting the neighbours!

I was a bit skeptical at first about a UHF guitar wireless system, especially one with so many features typically not found on other systems, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. I already have a Donner DWS-2 system which I really like but now this new system will be my #1. The sound quality is top notch and is the same as the DWS-2 or a guitar cable which is most important. I did not encounter any static or interference so top marks there as well. The transmitter has built in effects which are basic but surprisingly useful. The transmitter also has a headphone output so you can use it as an stand alone on board headphone amp. The receiver has bluetooth and aux in jack so you can play along with whatever backing tracks you have on your phone - very smart. The built in battery provides several hours of playing time- about 2x longer than the DWS-2 Finally, it fits all guitars as far as I can tell. I've included some pics of the system in a few of my guitars. Great tool for practice and performance.

The product arrived in a week!
This is my first wireless guitar system and I am very pleasantly surprised with the quality I get. The 2 units are very well made. The switches click well and there is nothing clumsy or loose. In the box there is a dual USB charging cable and an audio cable as well.

Absolutely love this bit of kit unfortunately the aux in doesnt seem to be working to play backing music as well from my laptop waiting for donner to get back to me but highly recommend this bit of kit

This wireless system really surprised me. At a very reasonable price, the quality is really good, the setup is fast and battery life is very good. To set it up you only need to charge it, connect it to the guitar and amp, turn the units on and make sure they are on the same channel. When I play with my band, we have a rehearsal once a week for 3 hours. When the rehearsal is over, the units still have juice in them so no power issues at all. The system also comes with a nice small bag, charging cable with 2 heads so you can change both units at the same time and it also comes with a 3.5mm cable so you can use it as a headphone amp. Overall this is a great buy with great value.

This is an impressive little gadget. I ordered this because I like to be able to move around a stage and not have to worry about getting tangled up in cords.
In addition to the wireless receivers, the box also contained an aux cord, a split (double) micro SD charger, and a nifty carrying bag (although I am going to keep them stored in the foam they came packaged in because I like how they fit into it).
Per the instruction booklet I charged them before using. Once plugged in, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were already paired with each other and ready to use. It was a simple matter of turning them on and plugging them in.
I played with an electric and an acoustic guitar and it worked well for both. I also tested some distances to see how strong the signal was, and was pleased with that as well, unable to go further than my basement wall on the other side of the house and still getting a signal.
Lastly there are some fun features on the guitar receiver that allow you to change the sound of the guitar through the speakers. My favorite was the "Metal" option that made even my acoustic guitar sound like overdrive electric.
5 stars all the way, I don't have anything negative to say about this gadget.

I thought I'd try the wireless system to help me eliminate some of the trailing cords in my room, to make to it easier for me to connect to my amp

These are incredible! They work great and are easy to setup. I enjoy being able to play freely without being tied up with cables. The effects are clear and great as well. Highly recommend for anyone looking to go wireless.

This product took 10 seconds to turn on and work great. Just plugged in and turned on. No pairing issues, no delay. I love it.

This is a great wireless system for guitar. It is a beginner system but it is packed with built-in amp sim and effects. The best one is the metal one which adds a slight delay to the tone with the right amount of drive. I'm not sure if this can be used for live performances but it does seem to have a good range but for home use and to eliminate cable this perfect.

I used this product for my electric guitar. It's impressive how many features Donner put into this small device.
I usually keep my guitar in a guitar stand and was worried sometimes that I accidently trip over my cable and pull the guitar out of the stand.
That impossible now with this device!
Some other benefits are that I can connect my phone via Bluetooth to turn on a backing track.
I also travel for work in a regular basis, so I also have a small "headphone amp" for traveling on my business trip.

I am a hobbyist musician. I purchased his wireless bass guitar TX / RX because I wanted a reasonably priced wireless system with effects for my U-Bass. The system performed very well as advertised. The packaging is quality and the unit seems to be very solidly built. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised with the performance when I ran this through an Epiphone SG and a Positive Spark amp. The sound and tonal quality was very good. I also tested the unit with using only the TX with headphones plugged into it. It makes a very nice quiet practice amp! The only issue I had was that I kept pressing the channel switch to change effect modes and changed the channel instead of mode. This is something I just need to learn and is not really a product deficiency.

This is a really interesting product. I play wireless all the time and I was looking for a backup unit that I could use for practice.
I was very excited to try this unit and I had a Shure guitar wireless and a Line 6 C-10 wireless to compare it to.
It performed at least as well as both units to my ears. Sound quality, distance and ease of use. Totally plug and play! It has built in effects, can be used as a headphone practice amp and you can jack in a phone or computer (wired or Blue Tooth) to send a wireless signal to an amp or PA or just to jam along with!
Now-about the effects. I am not a stranger to Donner products-I have a Fuzz, Tuner, Morph Distortion and a Noise Killer. I have always been impressed with the quality for the price.
This unit is no exception. I tried it through my Marshall Origin 50 and my Music Man 65-210. Both are tube amps. I used a Fender Telecaster with stock pick-ups, a Conn C-Series ES 335 copy with hot Humbucker pickups and a Fender Strat with Fender Lace Sensor pickups.
It sounded great with all three and fit each one perfectly. The wireless has 5 separate effects and a volume slider. Clean, Bluesy, Flanger, Tremelo and Metal. Because it acts as a pre amp to some extent, I noticed that if I had the send unit on full volume and my guitar on full volume, I got a little crunch-even in the clean setting. To me, this was not a bad thing because if I roll off the guitar volume just a bit it cleaned up nicely-then if I wanted to play a lead I just boost the volume on my guitar and it sounds cool! I have read mixed reviews about the 'Metal' setting. I liked it! It sounded cool with my rig. Probably my least favorite was the Flanger. It had a cool sound but it was a little over the top for me. The ones I would use the most would be Bluesy (just a little crunch) or the Tremelo.
All in all, for this price-it is an awesome unit. It is going in my gig bag and will go every where with me!

Great new asset to my guitar arsenal! I immediately charged the units which come with a double USB cord to charge both units at the same time. It took about 2.5 hours. The unit instantly had a Bluetooth connection to both my guitar and amp. There was no noticeable difference in the audio or the guitar response. This Donner wireless guitar system provides you the response from your instrument that is very similar to what you are used to from a cable. Obviously, there are wireless systems that cost way more. However, I am very impressed with the sound quality and how easy it was to begin operating. Usually my motto is “you get what you pay for”, but this offers way more than the price! It’s a lot of bang for the buck!
It has 5 guitar effects: Clean, Bluesy, Flanger, Tremolo, Metal. Easy to use controls make it very comfortable to adjust settings. It even has line–in for running tracks from phone or computer through your amp. It can even be miked out to a set of headphones for quiet practice. I thought I might have an issue using it on my Fender Strat but fit like a glove as I can it see would with just about any guitar input. Take a look at the product description and specs, everything it states it does. Donner makes some high quality electronics at a reasonable price. Why pay more?

If you are debating on purchasing a wireless guitar system, but don't want to spend too much money, stop reading this review and just buy the Donner MW-1.
Not only is the Donner MW-1 Multifunction Wireless Guitar System great for playing guitars wirelessly, but it also has some awesome built-in effects. The Metal setting is especially dirty (in a good way). I also set the MW-1 up with one of my synthesizers and was amazed at the cool sounds I could get out of it. The video in the review shows how awesome the Metal setting sounds even when hooked up to a synthesizer (without any other effects being used).
First thing I did after receiving the MW-1 was charging up the transmitter and receiver. They came with an easy to use USB A to double micro USB cable which allows charging both the transmitter and receiver at the same time from pretty much any USB port on a computer or any USB wall wart. Also included in the box is a soft carrying bag that makes carrying the units ridiculously easy.
One bonus that I did not even realize the MW-1 was capable of was bluetooth. That means it is super simple to connect a phone/tablet to the receiver unit wirelessly. You can also play music over bluetooth the receiver and still play the guitar wirelessly at the same time, making jam sessions crazy easy without any additional cables.

Okay, so this review will need to be split into several different sections as this little system is so much more than just a wireless system ... so hang on, this might get a little long... My ultimate takeaway will be at the end.
The Wireless: Very convenient form factor, and good rechargeable battery life (6-8 hrs continuous use). However, the range I'd put at about 30-feet before dropouts start coming in. So, for a convenient wireless that won't get ya much further than a cable, it's fine.
The built-in effects: one-by-one...
Clean- ads a bit of chorus and a slightly hyped EQ, nice for many aplications ... but I wish it simply had a totally bypassed position!
Bluesy- Slight distortion that doesn't really sound great ... but if ya HAD to get by with it, ya could.
Flanger- Way over-the-top 80's sound, can't imagine ever using it for more than a quick special effect.
Tremolo- This is interesting because in addition to a subtle and fairly slow tremolo, it also adds a bit of subtle and sweet REVERB. This actually sounds very good on both electric and acoustic, although I REALLY wish I could get JUST the reverb!
Metal- Sounds like angry bumble bees ... not for me, but if you play metal it'll get ya through a bedroom practice.
...speaking of...
Headphone amp: Yep, you don't have to use it as a wireless, you can simply plug a set of phones in and use the effects to make for a decent personal practice rig. This is seriously a nice added feature!!
Bluetooth: Again, a seriously cool added feature!!! You can actually use the receiver as a Bluetooth receiver, and it also has a standard 1/8" aux input jack for plugging your phone (etc) in directly. This turns ANY system into a Bluetooth speaker, plus it makes it super easy to play along to background music without taking up any extra tracks or gear.
So ... The takeaway:
The day after this arrived I played a small pool party, just me and my guitar and my little battery-powered Traynor busking style amp, which sounds pretty good but has no effects. With just this TINY system I was able to add some tasteful effects to my guitar (it was on the tremolo/reverb setting all night) ... and I was able to wirelessly Bluetooth my phone to it for music during breaks. It was PERFECT! And being able to roam around the pool area without a cable was also sooo perfect. This is a buskers best friend!

Nice bit of kit only issue have a few problems as using radii mucs and can interfere with signals

I was looking for a wireless transmitter for my guitars, because I just don't want to deal with the hassle of guitar cords anymore. I came across this and I have used other Donner items in the past and I thought they were a good value for the money. So I gave them a go. I am impressed. I use this both in my Ibanez Bass and my Chapman guitar. They are secure and don't flop around. The sound quality is very good. I am no expert when it comes to the terminology of sound, but I know what I like when I hear it. I like this sound. As a bonus I used just my portable ear buds and I can play guitar anywhere. I even played at the kitchen table. (LOL).
If your on the fence about this type of device, try these. I am sure you will be impressed. They come with built in effects, but I only used them when I was walking around playing into my earbuds - they were really nice sounding, too.
PS while these are plastic, the woodgrain is really nice. See the photos I posted.
