I'm just learning to play bass, but do play the acoustic guitar. As well as the drums. In my years of playing with different musicians, I've had the opportunity to play around with various instruments. In doing so I will say that I find this Donner bass to be a bit heavier than some I've played around with in the past. Having just had back surgery less than 6 months ago, it's tough to stand and play for long periods of time. However when sitting with it, it plays well. For the money involved with purchase, it's more than worth the value! Over all it's a nice instrument.

Really impressed! The instrument came ready to go, the action on the strings is spot on for my liking and the fret is very smooth, no rough edges on the side like other cheap models. This is a beginners instrument if you look at the price, but it's definitely good value for money. And it comes with a cable, which is always nice.

I was simply amazed by this bass guitar. I am a beginner bass player but I’ve been around my fair share of guitars and I have to say, for $150, you cannot go wrong! To start, the body is solid and heavy. I also could not find a flaw on the finish of my guitar. The frets were great, not sharp at all and no high frets. The tuners are very solid and smooth as well. I was also very impressed the the gig bag. Most guitars at this price range don’t come with a gig bag, let alone one that is very high quality. Overall you can’t go wrong buying this guitar. The guitar sounds and feels great!

I bought this as a backup for my expensive "Brand Name" bass. It arrived the next day perfectly set up and still in tune! Very low action but no buzzes with bang on intonation. Straight neck with ebony fretboard which is a nice touch. I went back and forth with my other bass (the expensive one!) they were virtually indistinguishable soundwise with tons of warmth and low end from the Donner. (my laptop mic doesn't do it justice) The frets were polished and the ends were smooth. As a beginner instrument it's amazing. I would be fully confident to play this at gigs as well.
