Very pleased with the drum kit. Had seen mixed reviews after purchasing, however it arrived within the expected timeframe (around 4/5 working days). Easily put together in around 1 hour and can not fault the kit. Only slight downside was the tracking - took a lot of online searching and translating to finally find out the courier and we were then able to track it in Europe and into the UK. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Great kit for anyone who wants to learn to play and not rile the neighbourhood with a loud acoustic kit. I am a guitarist so probably not best equipped to give an honest review here. However at this affordable price, I bought one for my studio/mancave/doghouse whereby I/we can rehearse at sensible volumes. I've gotten the drum bug too and surprised at how much time I spend on the kit. All in all, it plays beautifully for me but my main beef is with the brain (as I've read in other reviews).. It is very basic and the sounds are pretty meh aside from one which is useable in my opinion and you are able to mix sounds from the various kits available. I would like to see an upgrade here please Donner. Having said that, I am still able to trigger external samples once set up with my DAW so all is not lost. The stool snd headphones are not up to much either but for a total beginner, these are perfectly adequate to get you up and running.
To cap it all off, this is a great little kit for the price and I don't regret purchasing it, even though it was a bit of a "Do I really need this? " impulsive moment. I have many other Donner products (mainly effects pedals, being a guitarist) that I am mostly very happy with so this is what swayed my decision in purchasing the DED-200. Thanks for another great product Donner!

It took 2 weeks to ship and 1 week to arrive after it shipped, but I have gone more than 2 decades without a drum set so I am patient. Used to play drums in a band for years but the band broke up and I lost interest and my access to a set. I have truly missed playing drums but live in an urban area with little practice space and thin walls to my neighbor's apartment. Last time I looked at decent quality electric drums, they were $1000 or more. Saw these on a Youtube video and was AMAZED at the features at such a low price. When I learned you could grab the cymbals and mute them, I was sold. Just received them and it took a couple hours to set up (at a slow old man pace). I plugged them in and gave them a whirl and all I can say is WOW. This is THE BEST set you can buy for this price. I have fiddled with others in the pawn shop for years (Roland, Yamaha, etc.), but for the price and features you get, these are a real winner. Thanks so much, Donner, you have made this grouchy old man very, very happy. Anybody who is craving an e-drum set and is 'on the fence', JUMP AT THIS! You won't regret it.

Thank you to Donner for this amazing kit! With a few adjustments, this kit is high quality and quite versatile. The pads are very sensitive to dynamics and the pads themselves feel like acoustic drums. My only complaint is the high hat tends to play double strokes on a single hit, so it might be a little too sensitive, but other than that, this e kit is a great value with a multitude of sounds. I love it!

Steeper learning curve than I expected, but these drums are sweet, fun, and ecomical way to learn the art of percussion. Easy to assemble, too. Not all the kits move me, but that's just personal taste, and the throne's way too hard, got a pillow that does the trick until I get a more comfy chair, but other than that, 2 big thumbs up. And I can say the same for my lemon yellow strat. Only disappoint has been that I cashed in 500 donner bucks for an acoustic guitar pickup - out of stock at the time, and It's been in and out I believe and it hasn't shown up yet, I don't even remember getting notified whether it had been processed, altho the 500$ have been taken out. But overall, very satisfied with my purchased, and the quality for entry level instruments is superb. Oh, and one othe thing is that in assembling the kit, I made one minor boo boo - I put the felt cymbal rings _under_ the cymbal where they turned rock hard; you wouldnt' have 4 rings kickin' around that you could send me? No worries if you don't, guys. Cheers from the East Coast.

I love the set. it was pretty easy to setup, instructions were clear. I did a lot of research before decided on the DED-200. The whole structure was very sturdy and stable. I used velcro to attach the bass pad to the horizontal bar to prevent it from moving, and it works fine. I am only a novice in drumming, there are metronome and songs for me to learn. it is fun.

Only fact is that the bench is weak, bent in couple of play, not for over 200 lbs people.

This is a complete kit right out of the box. Sticks and headphones are included along with all the hardware you need. They even include the tools you need for the bass drum stand.
If you’re a private teacher, this would be great for your studio. Easy connectivity to your computer if you want to lay down tracks as well.

This is overall a good electric Drumset to use for beginners, recording, or as a midi controller. I suppose you could use it for small gigs as well. It wasn’t terribly hard to assemble, and it was packaged very well. The pads have lots of bounce to them, and feel pretty good. The only disappointment was the lack of onboard sounds. All the drum samples sounded kind of cheesy, but a few of the Toms and kicks on there were okay. However, I just use it as a midi controller so that I can play better sounds on the kit.

I bought this set for my husband for his birthday and it was a HUGE hit! He loves drums but I don’t love to hear them lol. So am electric kit was the best compromise. The sound is excellent and he said they are incredible. Even better than his last set which was about 8 years ago.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the drums for the price range. I went for this one because of the mesh heads and they feel just like an acoustic kit.
There is also the option of tightening or loosening the heads with a drum key, making it easy to replicate the tension of the heads on my acoustic kit.
The overall structure is also very sturdy and very easily adjustable. I was a little worried about how the kick pedal would compare to a real chain pedal but once I'm playing I barely notice a difference.
When played with headphone this is perfect for practicing at night without waking anyone.
Overall this kit is perfect for my needs. It won't replace an acoustic kit and the module doesn't compare to the more expensive ones but as an inexpensive practice kit this is perfect.

Great kit for beginners, took me well over hour to assemble.
Folds up quickly sort of flat when assembled which is important to me as I need to move into out of the way when I’m not using it.
Comes with stool, headphones and sticks I was easily able to connect my tablet to audio in with a head phone jack and play along to tunes from Spotify which is great
Ive ordered a side table to put my tablet on as I try to roll the years back to when I played as a kid.

Overall great value for a set if you just want to start learning or even to record your own drums for your songs. In the 80's these were gold and trendy. Now more than ever they are the best alternative to a full real set which is loud and takes twice the space. I'm happy and I'd buy again!

Having no experience with drums before but wanting to dip my toes in I researched and chose this one based on great prior reviews and a good price.
It arrived quickly after it was dispatched and was very well packaged, with every box and cable labelled for east assembly. The amount of adjustability is fantastic and is bound to suit everyone.
Once setup, getting it going is instant with preprogrammed kits ready to go. There seems to be lots of customisation in the menus but it will take me weeks to discover everything with so much choice.
All in all a great value drum kit to learn on with the obvious aspect of being far quieter than an acoustic kit and with far more options. Highly recommend!

I was pleasantly surprised with the electric drum kit.
I have bought a few guitar pedals by Donner and really liked them so I decided to take a chance with the drum kit.
It came in a relatively compact box and was packages very well. The build quality to very high and much better than the electric drum kits I used to play years ago. It has a good range of sounds to play around with and you can get good dynamic sounds from each drum depending how / where you hit it.
I think a few key features have been missed out in other reviews and the listing for the kit. The kit has rim sensors on each drum so you can get sounds from that also, but the best thing is that it has a MIDI output that allows you to connect the kit to a computer where you can use programs like garage band to get more drum sounds and record songs.
Overall I am very happy with this kit for the price point and would recommend it.

I'd been wanting to get into playing the drums for a while and decided to look at electronic kits due to the lack of space in my house. After looking at some different options online I decided on this Donner kit.
Delivery was fast (next day) and the box was solid. The drums, frame, and accessories inside are all packaged in individual boxes and are well wrapped in foam and other packaging. It came with all the tools required for assembly - just a small screwdriver, a drum key, and an allen / hex key. 99% of the assembly was done with just the drum key only.
I found the assembly easy even as someone who has never built a drum kit before at all. The instructions are super in depth which makes the whole process simple when combined with the individually labelled boxes. It took me about an hour to fully assemble it as a complete beginner. The frame is really sturdy and can be easily adjusted in the event of any wobble/unevenness etc. It also came with a pack of velcro ties which was useful for tidying up the cables (there are quite a few).
The drum module is great and has multiple different features - you can change between entire drum kits, change the individual sounds to mix and match and make your own drum kit, it has a metronome, and it also has some built in songs that you can play along to. You can't upload your own sounds/kits via USB or SD card but this isn't a feature that is really seen at this price point. However, the module does support MIDI out via USB and I found it really easy to link this up with my DAW and use different VSTs so I could use my own custom drum sounds.
The drums themselves are great quality and the mesh heads have a great bounce to them which feels excellent. Everything feels super solid - it definitely won't be breaking or getting damaged any time soon. They respond excellently to different hits and the range in dynamics is great - even the slightest hits are registered. The dual zones on some of the drums are a great feature, and the cymbals even support grabbing them with your hand to mute them. The hi hat and kick pedals are of solid quality and the kick pedal can be adjusted to your liking. The only issue I had with it was that it slid slightly on my laminate floor, however it would be fine on carpet or a rug etc. I fixed it by just adding a little rubber pad onto the bottom.
There are a solid range of sounds available that sound great for the range of music I've been playing - mostly indie/rock/etc - and I am sure it would be great for a variety of other different styles too. Its super easy to change between them on the fly using the module - something that is quite handy is that the buttons are all big enough that you can just press them with the tip of a drumstick if you don't feel like putting them down!
The included throne seems solid and has a good range of height adjustment - I'm 6ft tall and could easily find a height that worked well for me. The sticks seem good to me and should be suitable for most players. The only downside in my opinion is the headphones which aren't the best quality and feel a bit fragile - however the sound quality isn't bad and sounds good enough for some quiet practicing. You can use basically any headphones using the 3.5mm jack on the module so this isn't really a problem in my opinion. The kit also fits pretty easily into a small corner in my house and I can still play it comfortably in the space.
Overall I've been really enjoying this kit so far and have been progressing pretty quickly through the first few lessons on my beginner drums course - the course is geared towards acoustic kits but everything has carried over perfectly to the electronic kit. I'm really impressed with the overall build quality and the ease of assembly, as well as the features of the module and especially the MIDI out that lets you use it for a variety of different applications. The included accessories are up to par and are good value at the price point. I'd definitely recommend this kit to anyone looking to start playing the drums or anyone who is looking for a great value electronic kit for some neighbour-friendly practicing.

Bought this set for my 15 year old, impressed with the quality! It took some effort putting together but overall super happy with it! We have lots of mid-level instruments and this set complements our collection! Great for him to have the option to use headphones if he's playing later at night. You may want to purchase the appropriate amplifier to get louder sound when not using headphones. I had to contact customer service before the order was shipped and they responded promptly and were very helpful!

This Donner DED-200 drum kit is excellent for beginners. Each piece of the drum has is own well identified box so that helps saved time setting it up. It does not take a lot of space in my room. It has a lot of different sounds you can choose from. This drum kit is perfect for my need and it was delivered in time.
