As beginners guitar I think tis is a great option, easily tuned and the finish of both body and neck appear lawless. action is not too high for a learner and happy to report no fret buzz. Don't know what can be said that hasn't already, but for the price it is a decent starter. I bought it for experimental rebuilding. It comes with pretty good accessories, gig bag, tuner, strings, picks, truss rod key, even a capo. I recommend better strings, and a little neck adjusting for better action.

Ideal for beginners, note that strings are closer (space between them is shorter) than regular guitars, so it will be more suitable for those with thin and/or small fingers. Very resonant, warm sounds.

I've been playing for over 50 years in bands and solo, having owned dozens and dozens of guitars, both acoustic and electric, from cheap to ridiculous. I bought this guitar only for its "bad-a**" flat black looks, and it doesn't disappoint. The finish is flawless, and the flat finish on the neck makes moving up and down a pleasure. The binding isn't great but acceptable on an instrument of this price. No glue visible on the interior. The fret edges are smooth and not protruding, not the usual cheap guitar razor blades. The action is high, but that can be fixed. The tuners aren't all-that-good, but I've seen worse. I don't know what the nut and saddle are made of, but they more resemble bone than cheap plastic, which is good. Sound quality/volume is no better or worse than any other inexpensive laminate top/body guitar in this price range. The main thing this guitar has going for it is its exceptional good looks - except for that cheesy cheap-looking Donner logo on the headstock.

Now I know there are some very serious and talented musicians out there who will not agree with this review. For the rest of us, this is a fine guitar at a steal of a price. No, it's not a Martin. But at a quarter the price of the cheapest Martin model (the DX?), it sounds great, holds a tune, and is comfortable to play. While the "Donner" name isn't going to impress anyone who knows about guitars, the sound might. It also looks pretty bad-ass (I have the black cutaway dreadnaught). Personally, I think every gathering place needs a guitar lying around, along with a bottle or two of decent bourbon. This one fits the bill just fine and you won't mind when your party guests drop it or break strings. Seriously, as someone who's been playing music (badly) for 50 years, I can tell you that it's more of what's in your heart than the brand name on your instrument that makes the music.

The media could not be loaded. In my opinion this is a good entry level full size acoustic guitar, the sound is crsip and since, it's a mahagony wood along with solid spruce top, I expect the sound will become more brighter and mellower with aging compared to laminated tops which is what is available in this price range. Cheery on the cake is the accessories that it comes with, I feel overall it makes an awesome deal for someone who wants to learn acoustic guitar. I highly recommend this guitar. Happy learning!

This is my first personal guitar and I’m very pleased with this product. From the moment of even unboxing the product, it was very neatly packed to provide safety for it. That is one of the best signs to see if one can show care for the packaging, they must show lots of care for the product as well. My theory was once again proven right with this product as everything from the sound to the wood of the guitar was amazing. It is almost a must to also note the multiple accessories this package brings. When looking at other options there were more than double the price of this one, without the same high quality.

We bought this for our 13yo daughter who wanted to teach herself guitar and have something to noodle on. I play bass and her mom plays guitar, but left-handed, so we wanted something inexpensive, yet complete, for our daughter to try out. The basic quality of this guitar is impressive. After a couple of weeks, it's holding tune better and better; the action out of the box was very good, no buzzing; the matte black finish is SLEEK; the neck is super comfortable, not too thick and not super thin; and the accessories all work very well. The sound is good as well - not super rich, but clear. This kit is a steal where it's priced now, and it's perfect for something to play around with or for a child to get their first taste of playing guitar.

This guitar was recommended by a friend because it has everything you need to get started, a tuner, extra strings, picks, and cleaning cloth to metion a few accessories. The guitar itself looks to be well made, the black color is flat or matte it does get finger prints on it but easily removed by the cleaning cloth. The bag is made out of nylon with some protective padding inside. I'm happy with the purchase consider it comes with everything you need to get started at a reasonable price. Looking forward to learning how to play well.

I will warn, some might think this is a glossy black finish. It is not. It is a matte black finish, which picks up fingerprints a lot. If that matters to you, keep that in mind. I don't mind it, and it comes with a cloth to keep it clean. The guitar also comes with 4 picks and a red plastic pick guard. The pick guard is adhesive, peel the backing and make sure to remove the protective seal off of the front. At first glance, it doesn't look like there is a seal on it, but there is. The guitar already comes with its strings in place, all you have to do is tune it, which you can do using the electric tuner it comes with. This tuner comes with a battery and instruction manual in its little box. The kit also comes with extra strings, an accessory bag, a black metal capo and a strap. There is also an Allen wrench in the box. All your accessories fit inside the full-size gig bag, which is of a backpack style. For a starter guitar, this cutaway is a cool-looking unit. It's made of mahogany, and it's very lightweight. That's important because people just learning how to play can find heavier guitars hard to handle while learning finger placements and notes. It's one less thing to worry about. The sound is rich, and the unit is sturdy, easy to handle, and comfortable to play. It's a right handed unit, so keep that in mind. This is a good-looking guitar and would make a great gift. I gifted it to myself. And I am happy I did. I used to have a black guitar years ago, this one reminded me of that time. It was a great purchase.
