A painful journey for her and her twin siste to endure. She taught herself to play the ukulele as a place to escape until she came home.... Our 2 oldest children (8 and 10) each received a ukulele for Christmas, this being one of them. It's a great kit for the money, especially seeing as it comes with a tuner, picks, and padded bag. The strap is fun too! So far it's working well; I think they may need to play even more often before it stays all the way in tune between uses.

This is a sweet sounding ukulele. The spruce top and rosette look beautiful, and the intonation is perfect. I don’t think you can go wrong with this. It’s hard to find a tenor with sweet, bright sounds, but this one does it.

this was just perfect. Everything was included. I use everything all the time. Especially the tuner that’s so helpful for a beginner. I’ve been playing everyday since Mother’s Day and ITs definitely a great quality instrument. Yes the strings go out of tune frequently but I’ve read over and over that it just takes time for the strings to stay in tune themselves. It finally does but I do have to tweak it a couple strings or all of them are a little off tune. Not a big deal. Worth the buy.

I’m super happy with this purchase, you get extra strings and straps for not just the uke but for the bag as well, so I was able to strap the bag to my backpack and while I do find that I need to readjust the tune from taking it in and out of the case, it’s really not that bothersome. Also as you can see it’s super friendly if you’ve got long nails unlike with a guitar!

This is a fantastic deal for what you get. This uke is beautiful and it sounds good. I am so pleased with it. Props to the folks who craft these because they are beautiful.
The strings will require time to settle. You can do the stretch method to speed it up if you want or just tune more frequently for a couple of weeks.
It came with: a cool gig bag, a tuner that is pretty nice, 4 picks, a cleaning chamois, and a strap.
I don't use a strap but the one included seems cool. Lightweight and cute. Doesn't need to be heavy for such a small light instrument. The picks, however, look like standard guitar picks. There are other options for uke like rubber, felt, etc. Maybe include different types of picks for beginners to try?

This Ukulele is awesome for the price. It's beautiful, lightweight, and well made. The strings need to be stretched, like any new string instrument, so you will have to retune it a few times when you first start playing. But after that, it's fantastic. It has a bright, clear sound that I love, and is very simple to play. For your first Ukulele, the price is unbeatable, especially with all the accessories it comes will. The only thing I'm not particularly fond of is that the strap is definitely cheaply made, and I will be replacing it soon. But it still works perfectly, so it's not a huge priority. Will totally be buying more Donner stuff in the future.

My wife has wanted a ukulele for a long time. We didn’t know much about them but saw this one had good reviews and decided to purchase. Well, we certainly stumbled onto a solid performer. The sound from this is simply incredible. Everything you need to get started is included; ukulele, strings (pre-strung!), strap, tuner, pics and the case.
The build quality is top notch. We both really like the small design elements that went into crafting this. I especially like the tuning gears which are visible through a clear opening, very cool. I never had much interest in a ukulele as I prefer the guitar, but I find myself playing this WAY more than the guitar now! Now we need a nice stand to go with it! Thanks Donner!

Been interested in starting the Ukulele for a while and I’m so glad I bought this set.
Donner has thought of everything you would need and there’s nothing else extra you might need (besides perhaps a Pick for a few pennies)
I was pleasantly surprised to see the Ukulele come strung perfectly, along with a spare set of strings. The shoulder strap looks quite fancy and the included tuner works great, and luckily a battery came with it.
As for the main instrument itself, the quality exceeded my expectations. I don’t doubt the claim that it’s made of premium Mahogany wood at all. It feels really solidly made and the included case will provide enough protection if you want to take it around with you. The little Zip on the outer side of the case can easily house a spare set of strings and the tuner – A lot of thought has gone into the design of the case.
The strings make a really pleasant sound, and the sound resonates nicely in the shell of the Ukulele. It doesn’t sound like a ‘cheap, toy-like sound’, the sound in fact has a nice warmth and depth to it.
I’ll be looking to add a video review shortly to demonstrate the sound quality.
Overall, I’m very glad I purchased this instrument, I’m looking forward to continuing to learn how to play.
