this is a well made guitar pedal and the sounds are excellent especially the vintage tape echo (very Hank Marvin) i have many foot pedals including Boss etc and this rates on their level therefore it is excellent value for money and belongs in a professional set up.
Packaging and delivery also can not be faulted.

I bought it for my grandson on his tenth birthday in addition to a Squire Fender Stratcocaster, and a Marshall MGX 30 watt amp. The Donner Delay pedal embellished the sound which he really likes, and encourages him to play electric instead of his acoustic. My next plan is to teach him some Hendrix, John Mayer licks, so I.ll be ordering more Donner products for him to get better sustain, and I might treat myself to one of the Donner loop pedals!

Very impressed :)

First, the bad things. I have trouble reading the print on the pedal because it is so small, and so are the three controls, for mix, level and whatnot. However, this is what happens when you buy a mini pedal and are 70 next week!
Now the good things. LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE. It takes up almost no room on my pedal board, the tape setting is amazing, the analog and digital settings are excellent, and the other four are just very good.
I am well pleased with this pedal, and would recommend it to anyone. Is it as good as my £300 all singing all dancing super delay? Of course not. Could I have got my super delay for £40? Again of course not. For the money, this can’t be beaten. Grab one quick, before Donner realise what a little gem this is, and put the price up.

Already have a pitch pedal. Good for the price

Very pleased with this pedal. Easy to use and sounds fantastic. Brilliant . Well done donner music. Will certainly use you again.

Amazing value for the money some cracking sounds in a micro box, extremely well packaged and delivered quickly . will be having more of these in the future

Brilliant all rounder, I'd been struggling to decide whether to buy a vintage or digital style delay pedal. Well this little jobby does both...and really well. Plus other settings altering modulation and even a backwards echo? which isn't bad either... it has every trick in the box concerning delay effects in a metal chassis for very low price.
I am well chuffed with mine, nice one Donner.

What an awesome pedal for the price. Lots of delay effects and timings. Combined with the chorus pedal too makes for some really nice effects

Quick delivery, love the pedal and loved the price, thanks donner..

Excellent tones; similar to some of the digital & vintage tape effect delays that I've used before, and the addition of Lo-fi & Sweep, & Reverse have kept me using this pedal for hours!

Donner Square 7 Delay. Purchased this while on offer. A great pedal offering various analogue, digital and tape delay effects, suitable for all instruments. Again great quality easy to use and a wide range of effect can be achieved. I would love to sample the Donner Island Delay after reading so many great reviews, but I can't afford it. You cannot go wrong with the Square 7, great value, lots of possibilities. Highly recommended.

Fantastic little delay pedal. Had been using a Boss DD7 but wanted something smaller to make some room on my pedal board and went for this Donner. Great selection of sounds with excellent control of settings. Very happy with this. I think I’ll be looking at the Donner modulation pedal next!
Jon L.
like the rest of this series the size and build quality of the pedal boosts its appeal. The sound effect is easy to use producing some pleasing effects. I am very much a beginner but its a fun addition.

Best little pedal with 7 different delays,at first sight never thought that would be that good.I'm very happy with it.I loved it,love you Donner

Great pedal sounds amazing

Great fun playing around with delay sounds. Excellent value for money.

This is an excellent delay pedal. It creates a variety of different delay sounds and is incredibly versatile and easy to control. How it doesn't cost three times (or more) the price, I do not know.

I am still getting use to it but so far it's great and easy to set up it's a pity it doesn't have a mains lead otherwise a great unit
Luca B.
I bought this pedal because I needed a delay for "Gilmour" sounds. What can I say: excellent option, it allows me to have multiple types of delay in a single pedal. Great buy!

Here's the thing, it's a great delay pedal. You could spend loads of money on a fancy delay pedal, but why? This thing does the trick. It has seven selections, the last one is particularly cool. It does a reverse delay thing where it repeats the notes, but backwards.
It's a heavy pedal, sleek, cool, affordable. Get it.

I don't use delay all of the time but still wanted something of decent quality without spending any more than necessary.
This unit is VERY solidly built and the effect is very pleasing.
I've played around with the adjustable settings and found it to be very easy to work with not to mention that the small footprint is a plus.
This is the third Donner pedal I've purchased now and they have all turned out to be very good pedals at excellent prices.

Fantastic little delay pedal, most versatile for its size, would buy it again if stolen or damaged. Signal integrity is great as as it's digital pedal. It allows you to access several types of delays in a very small package, all very usable. The Echo Square has heft, is well built with good jacks and sturdy knobs. The switch feels solid with a nice audible click. The unit doesn't create a "pop" upon switching it on/off unlike my Mooer Yellow Comp and Caline Pure Sky OD which do pop.
Of course being so small there's no room for battery and it actually draws 130ma from a DC power supply so daisy chaning it with other pedals is not recommended. Dedicated a power tap on your power brick to it.
A solid performer and a great addition to a pedalboard without sacrificing real estate.

What an excellent company Donner are proving to be with pedals at this end of the price range. I have about 8 pedals by this company and this latest purchase didn't disappoint. I use this pedal on my Squier precision bass and the sounds are lovely and warm. The delay effect can be precisely controlled and has added an extra dimension to my sound and my general playing. The foot switch is robust as is the general unit itself. All in all at this price there is nothing to complain about! I wholeheartedly recommend.

Excellent quality very fun and a lot of different sounds!

Very versatile lots of different delays

Picked this up along with a Donner Mod Square. Of the two, this is the more useful, IMO. Like the Mod Square, sturdy metal case, but micro plastic knobs probably wouldn’t hold up to rough use. Note, power takes 9v @ 140ma. So, best run via an isolated PS. No soft switch, so it clicks (tho not audible through the chain). The micro controls are tricky to fine tune. If a low level delay is desired, the Mix needs to almost be off. Repeats is similar. The effects are actually pretty useful. I purchased mainly for the digital, analog, tape settings, but find myself using Sweep (an interesting envelope filter applied to the repeats) and Reverse (not as good as TC Flashback, ie) as well. The lofi voice has an interesting sound if turning repeats all the way off and tinkering with the time. Almost a ring mod. True bypass so tone isn’t affected when the pedal is off. Also, there is not a volume drop when the pedal is engaged (as with some pedals).

I use Donner pedals for my Synthesiser. I am a beginner so I wanted to try some pedals that didn’t break my bank. These pedals (I have delay and reverb pedals from Donner) are fantastic. So much fun to use and they add a real professional touch to the sound. I found without them there was just something missing. I couldn’t recommend them more. I look forward to trying out other Donna pedals for my synth.

I have used a number of Donner pedals and continue to be impressed with the value they represent for the features that you get. None more so that the Echo Square though. The variety of delay options available is staggering for 30 quid!
There are some traditional delay types here, with digital, analog and tape (tape being my favourite). Then there are a couple of odd ones! Mod, which adds chorus type effects to the delay, sweep that adds a wah type effect, LoFi which does some weird "bit-crusher" style effects to the repeats and finally reverse - which reverses each repeat.
Just keep in mind, it does not come with a power supply and does not take batteries (like most mini pedals in this price range).

This pedal sounds GREAT! I'm a guitarist with 39 years of experience in all original bands, and this pedal satisfies my needs for a great soloing tone. But this pedal does add some color to your rig, in a GOOD way, so much that i use it as a tone shaping tool in my loop. I bought another delay for accual delay effect and it Dosent sound as good as the donner delay!!! Buy 2!!!

I have had cases of a friend lending this pedal to a student, and the student does not want to return more, I have here the delay flashback of tc and the only difference is that of tc has looper only !!
This Donner Echosquare delay pedal is giving you something to talk about because it's so good.

Very nice little pedal, it ship fast and the sound is great! Love it!

This is an incredible value for money! It has the distinctive sound of each delay in this very small pedal and it sounds brilliant. My personal favourite was tape delay at 10 o'clock mix, 11 time, 12 feedback which I included a video of (recorded with Suhr modern T coil splitted neck and bias amp). Donner has been making great pedals for such a little amount of money. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the jack socket and the stump. It is a little stiff.

Excellent quality very fun and a lot of different sounds!

This pedal works great! The sound is clean with no noise when switching on and off. Lots of options to play with. Solid construction. Smaller than I expected which saves space on pedalboard. All around great buy. I will be purchasing more Donner pedals.

I bought this pedal for my husband who is a working studio guitar player. He loves it.

This is not my first Donner guitar pedal, and it definitely won't be my last. I bought this to replace a larger (conventional sized) analog delay from a more expensive/boutique manufacturer. I was nervous because I thought that the sound of the Donner couldn't beat the sound of the more famous pedal. Boy, was I wrong.
The different settings and delay modes really are amazing. All of the effects are deep, and you can get anything from a slapback to a weird robot degradation (underwater, of course). This will suit nearly any kind of delay, and if it doesn't, you're probably better off using a plugin instead of a pedal.
I play in a wedding band and my mates told me to "tone it down" at practice when they heard how deep the effects on this pedal can get. You can't beat the price - go for it.
