great for solo practise
John M.
The circle looper is excellent for the money. But I am returning mine - here’s why: 1) the drum machine is still too loud even at the lowest volume. 2) while the drum sounds are pretty good there are big gaps, for example, no reggae rhythms at all.
Jeremy J.
Great looper. Easy to use. I record rhythm guitar over the drum loops so I can practice lead guitar too. A real aid to my playing
stephen m.
Love this looper only got my head around the basics at moment by using drum beats and recording basic riffs over them but the potential for use looks amazing ups my practice and fun side of learning a lot.
Dylan Simpson
I like it so much a made a pedal board just for it and my alpha cruncher. I’m new to dinner products and really like the quality metal builds and great sound.

I play an electric mountain dulcimer and compose relaxing/ambient instrumental music with several layers of audio tracks (bass, melody, harmony) before the final mixdown and mastering. The Donner Circle Looper allows me to record and save up to 4 minutes of a loop (40 individual loops/160 total minutes) so that I can play along with and even record (dub) on top of the original track loop. Watching the track loop circle from beginning to end is a great visual. This looper also allows me to record short loops for a new song that I can come back at a later time to further develop. The compact size makes it a great travel item for gigs. You can listen to some of the songs I recorded using the Donner Circle Looper at: https://linktr.ee/brian.bohlman

The Donner Looper has a Looper on the left side and a Drum Machine on the right. It's great for practice and writing songs! It's the 2nd pedal on the lower left.

Great product does more than I expected !!
Ann-Marie Foster
Great pedal! I would give it a perfect rating if it were just a little smaller.
Kamilah James
This is my favorite looper pedal I've tried its so much fun to put together a cool backing track to jam to.... Thumbs up Donner
Maria Semple
It's the best looper out ... Just more usable ...
I got two ,,, there so good ... Trust Me ... This is the one ,,, ya can do the most with ... Love It ...

I really like the Donner pedals I just purchased. They are solidly built and give you exactly what they promise. And of course the final cherry on the prize is that they are actually affordable. I got the Circle Looper and Multi Effects pedal for half the cost of other similar pedals. The only flaw is that the power adapter which came with one of the pedals, immediately caused a buzz in my rig. I'm still trying to verify that it's definitely the cause, but initially it does seem to be. Still, my overall experience with Donner is VERY GOOD. And I would not hesitate to recommend their products, and to praise their quick response in filling my orders.
Mr Brian Foster
Amazing pedal Amazing price
Does everything I need it to do plus more!
Phil Wells
Easy to use. Great practice tool.
Tiegan Benedetti
Excellent pedal – well made and does exactly what it says it will do!!
John Egginton
Love this looper. Very intuitive and easy to use. Although it's wired last in my chain, I keep it right up front for ease of access. What a fantastic piece of gear. It has become an indispensable addition to my LIVE arsenal!
Carolyn Gray
I was skeptical about this pedal, looking at options for months. I wanted a more intuitive option to my lekato loop station. I have this set up to a Boss Katana MK-2 head send and receive option. First, the looping, I recorded several minutes of playing and dubbed over it with several more minutes and it all plays through in high quality, no lag or latency, genuinely sounds like I'm playing it right next to myself. The start/stop/dub controlls are all really easy to use, and that's what I wanted it for. Now the drum track with it was extra, I didn't really need all that, but I was pleasantly surprised at the sound of that too. It has pretty good range and let's you pick time signatures for jamming. It sounds good through my Amp so I'm pretty happy with it. It's a good product and pretty sturdy to boot.
Eimantas Lavickas
Excellent pedal looper easy to use. Good job
Michael C.
If a drum machines is not programmable then what counts is the sound quality and the usability of the patterns. This has very good sound quality and enough usuable patterns to find something appropriate for a multi genre user. The looper is also good: just about long enough per loop for a full song and the merge function makes it so much easier to record and stop a loop on time. Just remember to note down the bpm you recorded at or you won't be in sync on playback. The controls are logical. Ideally you would place this on a hand height stand and use a remote footswitch for start/stop/record etc. Apparently there is one but I can't find it on Donner's UK website.
David C.
A nice bit of kit!
alan b.
first class service and first class item - thank you !
thomas c.
looper , much more tech though easier to operate, counts you in ,recording is clear as a bell and it keeps your loops switched on or off without having to save , dub is easy too. yes i like it ,robust and cheap with stereo in/out.
Cliff A.
Very quick and efficient delivery.
Really good and solid looper with built in drum machine.
William W.
At this price a hidden gem.
Christopher W.
Very pleased with this looper. Drum sounds are great and sound quality of recorded loops is very good. I found it easy to get to grips with and was creating loops within minutes. The ability to store up to 40 tracks and import files is an excellent feature.
Excellent value for money and delivery in UK was very fast.
Chris J.
Well designed robust pedal, versatile and easy to use.
Lucinda W.
Still getting to grips with it. Ease of use and flexibility is good. Sound quality is good through my Marshall - better through a PA system. A good tool for practising.
Claire N.
Will review fully when tested. Bought this for my husband as a surprise for part of his Christmas. I know already, he will love it. Price was amazing!! Super fast delivery. Will definitely order again.
Sergio R.
Great piece of kit. Does what it says on the box. Improvements....ability to adjust volume on each layer as you build a track. Volume of drums on min overpowering.
Dave P.
This is a great looper and easy to use once you get your head around it. Its simple to record and over dub and to sync a basic drum beat to a chord pattern. It's Software is overly simplistic and offers nothing more than upload of a WAV /MP3 to numbered slots. The Rhythm system cannot be modified making it rudimentary. The volume management is another issue I found difficult to deal with, selecting a channel and then sorting out levels is not something you can do on the fly easily with knowing the system and the levels between Rhythm and Loop although adjustable individually are not linked globally when you join the loop to a Rhythm loop. This looper has tap tempo as well which is easy enough to use and makes the setting of a rhythm loop more interesting. The body is robust as are the switches and sockets, the item will run off your board supply but be aware it takes a hefty couple of hundred milli Amps.
All in all its good for the price but could have been great given a couple more tweeks. Like global volume/level etc
Geoff J.
Great little unit and solidly built. Nice sound quality on guitar input and the drum effects. I really like practicing with the drums instead of keeping time to a plain "click". Make sure to press the button between the foot switches to get it to count you in! In short, a great peddle at very little cost. Highly recommended.

DO NOT USE WITH WINDOWS 10!!! Previously thought the software only works with a reboot, Looper powered on and connected USB but now. November 11 2021, THAT DOESN'T WORK
Windows and irresponsible Donner will "Brick" the Donner Looper.
Software an absolute nightmare.
Buy this looper if you want to quantize to the bar and then play this looper INTO ANOTHER LOOPER to copy files to and from your computer.
Read my notes below for the THREE HOUR NIGHTMARE of arriving at this conclusion:
Problems: The red circle icon should be called FIRMWARE, not software.
There is a SECRET UPDATE MODE on the looper, power on with long press on lower left "REC DUB TAP button.
Doesn't matter, nothing worked!
Donner Looper has become a recording device only.
Cannot delete IMPORTED loops without USB computer connection.
Cannot access Circle Looper from computer!!!!!
Download and install version 1.7
Install complete. Run software? yes. Failed code 740

BAD, not true, info:
Import music: Click the [Import] button and chose a path to store the file. The file format is mono 48 KHz 24 bit wave;
Export music: Click the [Export] button and chose a file to load. The file format must be mono/stereo 48 KHz/44.1Khz 16bit/24bit wave.
The stereo wave file only loads the left channel.
Weird.... I hear both channels, from the looper, or from the file on the computer... maybe an old version Circle Looper where the channel stored drum info...

Have to use Circle Looper to create quantized loops to play directly into Boss RC-3 to get into computer, EQ and level, and arrange in set order.
Circle Looper now full of UNDELETABLE inaccessible "Imported" loops with only two slots available for creating loops!!
Thanks, Donner.

Very cool looper with drum machine. So easy and fun to play with.
James D.
Ok Sorry guys I've not used the looper yet however it's arrived quickly well presented and packaging good.It looks lovely and fingers crossed - As long as it works correctly, it's gonna be good to get working with it.In the hopefully unlikely event there's a problem I have heard Donner are good with their customers and after sales.Good price also.
Glyn W.
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT....
Loads of fun and a fantastic piece of kit and a great price.
Dr B.
Excellent for practicing, a sympathetic drumming metronome which makes recording a snip. No excuses anymore!
Mirela Varenic
This thing has 40 different tracks you can loop on, with unlimited overdubbing, which is just awesome. You can use it to do solo jam sessions, or use a few tracks to throw down licks or bits of songs that you're working on. I noticed no loss of quality of the sound, including with multiple effects running (reverb, delay, and chorus are my usual).
Lorraine Kingsley
The looper function and sounds is great! The preset drums are very basic, but sounds great! And the added function of downloading tracks makes that a non-issue. Love this!
Kazimierz Songin
Well at first I had second thoughts but after I got the Donner regulated ACDC adapter what you really need for this device otherwise it's hard to power it on but once that's there it works like a charm I'm using the the drum machine kit that's built into this you got a hundred drum sound effects but it's in stereo and you can you can save them and you can change the speed the tempo you can do a lot of things with it I mean it's a looper so you have a lot of features on this and with my mixer is great I'm happy with this.
Mike Warren
It is a quite good sounding pedal comparable to Boss and Digitech ones. I have been looking for this 2 in 1 with professional quality in design and this is the one. Very happy that it also has a USB, so I can load up backing tracks, arrangements, or whatever you can jam with. Once you get past learning curve it could become one of your musical BF.
Callum Shears
I am using the Donner circle looper and it’s fun. The built in drum machine really makes this looper fun to use. It’s a good looking pedal and works well so far. I am very happy with this purchase.
Archie S.
Some of Toms are too loud making some of beats not very good. But there’s plenty other good drum beats to make it not a problem. It is much better than any other loop pedal I’ve used in the price range and the merge function is great!
Malcolm H.
Early days, takes abit of time sorting out whats what can see it as potential to be quite an asset .
William M.
this is a great little looper, the drum function is really good being able to merge the drums on the right beat is a godsend I have tried various drum pedals and trying to merge them can be a nightmare.
So well done with this looper
Brian B.
Received in record time, have hardly got to use it as yet. But from just a little testing think it's really going to help improve playing. And later on recording.
PS my dog cannot fathom out what the click track is lol
richard g.
This looper is the nuts.. great sound, great beats, easy to use and even looks the coolest.. why wouldn’t you buy it.?.
john w.
Great pedal, does what it says. Very easy to use, great for home use or out with me mates.

The drum machine has 100 different beats from 10 genres to choose from with various time signatures, and an additional 10 metronome beats. My only knock on the drum machine was only having two 3/4 beats to choose from (one in Pop and one in Fusion, and then the 3/4 metronome), and when I gave this feedback to Donner, they immediately said they would mention it to their production team.
The pedal is sturdy, knobs feel good, and the clicking foot pedals are easy to use.
As an added bonus, Donner is very good about staying in touch and seeking open feedback.

I decided to try this new pedal from Donner as I was looking for a drum/looper combo pedal.
AG
First off let just commend Donner for an excellent product, well done guys.
The drum tracks are really well done, almost everyone is useable although the metal genre' is a bit slight by way of the cymbal sound. The controls are great, my favorite is ability to adjust BPM with a nob. Very easy to use, it doesn't take days trying to look up how to work it. GREAT price, this has alot for your money.
A couple things bummed me out though. When you record a a loop the drum track isn't recorded with it. Yea so if you forget what track and BPM's you used it's a bit confusing lol. Also you can't split the signal. I don't like drums going through my good amps so I've been using it like a basic drum machine running through a Crate 150 bass amp. Also I like a bit more looping time, 4 mins is tight. They gave you a smart tap on the loop switch, but it adjusts BPM's. I would rather it have been on your rhythm switch and enabled a fill. But it is what it is
All in all a good pedal at a good price. I'm sure you'll be able to find any answers from you-tube and hear the actual tracks. If yer looking for this type of pedal I'd pick one of these up because with all the features it offers it is a good buy.
I'd recommend it even though I have some issues with it. Great Price ✌
After a few weeks now of using this pedal I have to admit it is really nice. The drum tracks are great, they sound very real and offer a wide range of grooves. Mix that with the ability to adjust BPM's and ya end with multitudes of tracks. Even with the issues I have this pedal is about one of the best I've purchased so far.
Shawn O.
I read up on these and saw they were sold out almost immediately and people were charging over twice as much on eBay for them. Luckily Donner released some more at the original price point so I jumped on one as soon as I could and I'm very happy that I did. Having a pedal that has a looper and drum machine built into it really adds to my arsenal. I'm bad at following instructions so I fooled around with it and figured everything out of my own, it's really that simple so that's always a plus. I'm very happy with my purchase and it comes at a incredible price for what you get the build quality is solid and I love it.
Nestorov M.
the best looper for this money
barta r.
Well built, sturdy..knobs are not loose like in some you tube videos. Very good clips to use to practice. I'm just beginning and really enjoy it!!
Adam
I bought it because I wanted one.Way easier than using a looper pedal without a beat
Javi
This was my first looper pedal, so I do not have much to compare other than youtube videos.
I believe that the value for money is great. For sure you can get cheaper options, but his has a drum machine integrated. The small interface also helps a lot.
Steven S.
Wow, this thing is amazing! Before buying my Donner Circle, I looked at many reviews. All were correct in saying there is no other looper that can compare with the Circle’s many features and affordable price.
The sound quality of both the loops and drum machine patches is fantastic. I can’t tell the difference between my recorded loops and my live playing, even after recording many layers of loops. The time-progress bar is very useful and the unit’s controls are intuitive and easy to use.
Being able to record loops with the metronome or drum machine is a great feature. Also, you’re able to mute the drum machine/metronome track so you only hear your loops, which is perfect for the ambient music I compose.
I haven’t used the USB computer interface yet, but along with Donner’s free software, it promises to open up a whole new world of possibilities in editing & importing/exporting recorded files.
The Circle’s user manual is one of the best I’ve come across, a real plus when learning how to use its many impressive features. If you want a looper with great features at an affordable price, then buy a Donner Circle Looper & Drum Machine. You will not be disappointed!
JD
I like it so much a made a pedal board just for it and my alpha cruncher. I’m new to dinner products and really like the quality metal builds and great sound.
Richard W.
Everything and more than could be wanted for from this type of pedal with every little detail well thought through and implemented. Outstanding value for the money.
SBPH
Excellent looper for the price two channels also a programmable drum machine built into it. This looper has a robust metal shell and has the capability for external control. all in all this pedal is a serious contender to the classic RC-1 also great purchase.
DAREN B.
I was after a guitar looper to help my practice. I loved the idea of the Digitech Trio+, but it's more than twice the price of this, and you need to go through the "training" stage. Also, while the Trio adds a bassline, I just used my guitar to record a bass style melody in addition to the chord progressions.
This pedal is more or less the same price as a basic single footswitch looper, but it has *so* much more:
- Two footswitches which makes using it much easier
- 40 x 4 minute memory slots (which you can upload / download using the included USB cable)
- 40 different drum beats / patterns
- It counts you in before you record with 4 drum clicks, making it easy to time the start properly
- It's also built really solidly, and I have no concerns over its durability
- Because you have 40 slots which you can upload audio to from your computer, you can even download pre-recorded loops or backing tracks to play along to
I'd recommend watching the 60 cycle hum video on YouTube on how to use it, but I found it very quick to learn, the drum machine quality was pretty good (but if you want to use higher quality sampled drums, then you can use the loops you record with or without the drum beats.
In summary, it's brilliant - it has so much more to offer than a regular looper, is more usable, and being so much fun, and way cheaper than the alternative.
Natalye Bertrand
My family purchased the Circle Looper from Donner mainly for its features it promised. The pedal offers an integrated drum machine sampler to play along with. The pedal also has many presets of effects, recording storage, and USB capability to import/export.
It didn't disappoint at all. My boys are 7 and 11 and are able to work the pedal without much fiddling around! I'm a Donner believer! Shipping and communication with seller was a pleasurable experience!

Well at first I had second thoughts but after I got the Donna regulated ACDC adapter what you really need for this device otherwise it's hard to power it on but once that's there it works like a charm I'm using the the drum machine kit that's built into this you got a hundred drum sound effects but it's in stereo and you can you can save them and you can change the speed the tempo you can do a lot of things with it I mean it's a looper so you have a lot of features on this and with my mixer is great I'm happy with this.

Bought this as I was getting a bit tired of the awkwardness of working with my TRIO+ pedal which cost an arm and a leg and it felt like I had a lot of cash stuck in it for such little functionality. Never been too fond of the bass patterns on the TRIO+ so I just wanted something simple that will act as a looper and drum machine. Tried the Donner Circle as it promised to do just that and I think I made the absolute right choice.
Features:
- Built like a tank, all-metal with proper sturdy foot switches although the settings knobs you need to be careful with and not step on them
- Comes well packed with manual and everything you need to get going. Powers at 9v.
- Excellent looper function with volume and fade out functions as well as 40 slots for loops at 4 min each. You will never fill this up!
- Drums sound natural and you can link the two to your looper to save both for your practice tracks
- With so many features I thought I was gonna get option paralysis but honestly it's so intuitive to use that you don't fell the complexity gettin in the way.
Would have liked:
- A choice of black as the colour but I'm just being picky.
All in all a great practice beast that I feel confident I can take down to pub to jam with my mates when the drummer is on strike. Excellent buy!
Michael M.
I was very surprised by this product. I like the option to have stereo inputs and outputs. Love the quantity and quality of the drum loops and the amount of control I have over it. It is easy to use, at least for me. The instructions are straight forward too if needed. I’ve only owned a mini looper before which needed to be pressed down twice to stop the loop but the additional button eliminated such inconvenience. Using the the loop and drums simultaneously is very useful as it helps me write new songs. Love the individual volume control. I consider this a great deal. I would suggest this over Ditto Looper which is around the same price point.
