Get some nice sounds.
MD Ade
At this price it really is a value for your money. Its fun to add to give a bass line that little spice it may need.
Chris Hennessey
Awesome guitar pedal. Sounds great!
Tsz Hei Chan
Barely takes up any space on your pedal board. This auto-wah (envelope filter, really), does exactly what it supposed to and is a fun little pedal to play with. It did what I needed it to for a specific song I was working on. It’ll never replace a “real” way pedal, but it certainly has its place on your board.
Deborah Njoku
Came in a nice box. Hefty and feel very sturdy. Doesnt affect tone and honestly is VERY WORTH IT. Dont have space for a wah. Honestly this really does the job If you're not obsessed with too much control.
james leslie
Cool wah! Definitely worth the price.
Mrs. Philippa Burch
Donner makes some surprising good pedals for what they cost. Solid metal chassis, decent switches and jacks, and usable sounds. At this price you can't expect a boutique pedal, but for practices and bar gigs a cheap, small and useful pedal is the best you could ask for!
Arlen Finch
For the money is does the job for sure.
sandi pringle
For the price it's a pretty good pedal. Not too much control over how much "wah" it produces, but for my needs, it's enough.
Alex Ward
For the price point you can’t go wrong. Very well made. And sounds great. Would definitely buy another Donner pedal.
Loreta Gornichiene
Getting crazy with the auto wah. Oh yes Bringing back the 70’s in a big way. Good sound Great price Nice addition for that tweak on your own personal sound.
Martyn Chapple
Good sound. Nice adjustability
Christopher Blakelidge
Good versatile pedal. Still working on dialing in the perfect amount of wah...my main issue is with the bottom surface of the pedal. Whatever kin of rubber or surface they used my velcro adhesive for my pedalboard will not stick to the bottom of the pedal, therefore the pedal will not stick to my board.
Shanice Manning
Great little peddle, fantastic value!
zelda sternlicht
Great pedal for the money, does what it's supposed to do.Well built and small.
Murrey Robert King
Great product !
Nicola Sugden
Great value, slim and sounds awesome.
NICOLA HARVEY
I always had trouble getting the sound I wanted with a wah wah pedal, just couldn't coordinate my foot with my picking or strumming. The Donner Mini Auto Wah Guitar Effect Pedal helped me get the sound I was looking for.
Ken Robertson
I couldn't believe the sounds I can get for a pedal under £40.00! It sounds every bit as good as my DOD Envelope Filter I have on my main pedalboard!
Andrew Milne
I guess I didn’t read that it didn’t come with a power source. Other else than that it works great.
Jude Bentley鈥揂bbot
I love this auto wah, it work like it should it you’re running you source into a compressor first! The the true metal pedal from Donner add on to the out put of the auto wah makes some real great heavy metal tones! These pedals are great for the price
peter maycock
I love this pedal. I love it when tones or pedals inspire me to make up new riffs. This one did that for me. Great quality mini pedal! I'm really digging these mini pedals.
Harry Naylor
I recently sold an Electro-harmonix Q-tron that I wasn't using very much and had no intention of replacing it. I stumbled across this and it was cheap enough that I figured it would be worth trying since I had a Donner noise gate pedal that I liked. So far I'm impressed. I'm not sure I'd put this on a pedal board for live performances, but for a home setup it's fun. Other reviewers complain that it wasn't sound like a "wah" pedal, but for me it is a solid replacement for the Q-tron. It can sound dull if you've got it dialed in wrong, but the Q-tron would too. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a cheap auto-wah just to see what it's about. You can always upgrade later.
Toyosi Oluwasijuwomi
I use it for a bass and it works very well. Compact, feels sturdy..Great for the price.
Liam Topping-Mcvey
I was looking for an auto wah pedal for the Dani California solo. Since I don’t use the wah in hardly any other songs I wanted a budget pedal that will do it’s job. I checked out this pedal demo on YouTube and was mighty impressed. I was pleasantly surprised. OK not surprised. I was pleasantly shocked. This along with the Doner Fuzz pedal that I also bought prices to be the winning formula for that last 16 bars of the lead solo. On a closing note, now I wonder why boutique pedal makers charge SO MUCH MONEY ??????.
DANIEL WHITE
It does the job. It is a bit difficult to get a subtle wah sound, it changes quickly from very light to very heavy. Not much in between. But for the price it's hard to beat.
Jack Probyn
It is a good pedal if you are looking for an auto-wah, but it is a good idea to do some research first so you know what you are getting. This pedal will need some tweaking to get the sound you are looking for. An auto-wah will give you a different result than a standard Wah pedal, as it will respond more to your pick attack than manually controlled by rocking the pedal. The parameters are all easy to control. The pedal itself is well-built, and is a great value for the price. Definitely recommend if you are thinking about an auto-Wah.
Martin Southgate
It's a great sounding auto-wah with a lot of range for tweaking your sound. Not quite enough low end for use with bass, but excellent for funky guitar!
Alison Southern
Just what we needed!
Edward Jenner
Love it! Sounds great!
Ferguson, Roberta
Not complicated to hone in on a specific way tone. Great range.
Adeola Akintunde
Pretty decent autowah, certainly for the price and size. Replaced my Boss AW2, which was failing. Very easy to dial in.
Kevin Carley
Pretty good for the price can’t complain you get what you pay for but overall I’m pleased
Charlotte Kenna
Smooth auto setting.
Kenneth Winnard
This is a great sounding little Wah pedal for the money. Has plenty of depth and versatility. I enjoy it with a little distortion in the mix.
Marco Lackovic
This pedal delivers true wah without using a pedal. Recommend!
Cameron Cann
This pedal is awesome. More then what i was expecting.
John McNeill
This pedal is sort of a one trick pony: the auto-wah thing. It has enough adjustments that you should be able to dial in the auto-burp per note. Don't compare it to a wah wah. It probably won't earn a spot on a crowded pedal board but it's cheap enough to have in the studio for the thing it does.
Antonino Baire
This really recreates the effects of having a traditional wah (which I also have), if you don’t want to put in the footwork
Derek Hamilton
This thing is just so fun to play with. Instant funk switch with super versatile settings. Definitely put it first in the chain, and for a totally different brand of fun, throw in some distortion after it and a chorus at the end. Nice and quiet too. My only complaint is the tiny knobs kind of suck to adjust, but I'm not sure how else you'd physically be able to fit 4 control pots on a mini pedal, and I prefer a pedal this size to something that takes up more space on the board. Pleasantly surprised by the "budget" offerings from Donner, this pedal in particular.
Danilo Vicari
Very slender pedal, sound is great, easy to use and set up with a very bright vivid color. Bought it as a Christmas gift because of the great value and size. My daughter has been using it nonstop since. I would definitely recommend.
Ross Millard
Well built but not the pedal I hoped it would be alters sound but not the sound of a wah pedal. I have not had it long enough to determine what songs and how I will use it
Sergiu Novac
Works as advertised. We really like this peddle.
Vincent Donnelly
Works well with my bass. Good value.
Adrian Verner
Works well, does what it should.
Marcel L.
Simple plug in and play suits me easy to use and flexible enough for this new electric guitarist. Highly Recommended.
Marco M.
I love this pedal! It adds that little extra niceness to my sound whether I’m using a clean rhythm sound or a distorted lead.
Michael C.
If you think this will replace a wah wah pedal - it won't. But it does add some atmospheric presence and width to chords - crunch or clean arpeggiated. It has the usual solid build and intelligent layout.
Richard M.
Great pedal and excellent quality. Exceptional service from Donner.
Craig B.
I purchased this based on positive reviews. Firstly I'd like to thank the sender and say the delivery was amazingly quick. Superb service. I own a few Donner pedals and products. I'm very impressed with the build quality, sound and functionality. This Auto Wah pedal is solid and well constructed, and a small footprint ideal for a busy pedal board. The pedal is virtually noiseless. I've tried several Auto Wah Pedals and for the money you can't go wrong. This is as good if not better than many of its competitors. A wide range of effects can be achieved. Auto Wah can take a bit more setting up to match your playing style. I have other Pro Auto Wah Pedals, and I can say in comparison this is a super easy to use pedal and achieves great results for Rhythm or Lead Guitar. Great Value and for an easy to use Auto Wah I highly recommend. I would love to sample the Donner Island Delay and other high end Donner effects but can't afford it. Go buy this pedal.
James L.
Great little funk pedal that can sit in the corner of the board for the occasional use needed but robust enough to stand up to regular abuse.
Keith H.
This auto wah is great for adding a lil spice to your sound. I'm a bass player and it gives it a nice tone.
Harold T.
Got this autowah after reading a few reviewes.
Folks, this little number rocks! It outperforms my old Ibanez envelope filter, and has more tonal options. Once I figured out the setting parameters, I was able to get a range of groovy sounds, and especially that "Jerry" pop, a la "Fire on the Mountain"
Miguel M.
Seriously, all of the hype about this pedal is so true everything about it is exactly what I need, and as you can see from my board, it's literally the perfect fit!
My pedal board had one perfect slot in it that was driving me mad, I wanted to fill it and searched high and low for something to out there, and then after much research, I came across this
Mate. How is it less than £30? Shut up and take my money. Took me way too long to get some quack on my pedal board but it was well worth the wait.
Rico
Great little pedal which I find works well in the fx loop. You can get a good quack sound through clean channel and it adds something extra on distortion if you dig in. Hard to describe the tone but it's a bit more grit and sounds great. When I tried it in front of the amp I didn't like the sound as much, subjective but it seemed less easy to dial in.
For the price you can't go wrong. No hisses or hums and doesn't degrade your signal. There's plenty of YouTube demos of the pedal and I'd recommend watching those to get an understanding of the controls as the instruction leaflets with these pedals are usually no help.
Richard
I love these Donner mini pedals. They're always such good value for the price.
The auto wah is no exception. As usual it is small but built like a tank - ideal for those with limited pedalboard space.
There are 4 controls on this pedal - Range, Sensitivity, Res and Delay.
The Range is the large knob and controls the amount of sweep effect that is applied. The sensitivity knob controls how hard you have to hit the strings for the effect to kick in. The Res control is for tone and the Decay controls the length of time the effect takes to die away. They all combine to allow you to dial in many different kinds of wah effect depending on what you're going for. I personally like the sound with everything set at 12 O Clock, or with the Res and Range knob maybe pushed to 1 or 2 O Clock. It sounds really nice. I've tried to give a quick demo in the video (excuse my amateurish playing!). I've currently only used this on a clean amp channel. I'm looking forward to seeing what sounds I can get with it in combination with some other pedals and guitars. A very nice pedal to have in your bag of tricks - and doesn't cost the earth! NB - you will need a 9V power supply as one is not included with the pedal.
John Nolan
This is a good, inexpensive pedal. I hesitate to call it cheap, because it actually seems to be of better quality than I was expecting. The enclosure is metal, not plastic, and the knobs fell ok, even if they are very small. I was looking for an auto wah with a small footprint for my B-board. This fits perfectly and works pretty well. Definitely depends on which guitar I am using with it, and the settings. The real value will become clear if this budget pedal survives for more than a couple of weeks. If it proves to be durable, then it deserves 5 stars.
