Great little monitors, small enough to fit a home studio and load enough to hear all the highs and lows in the mix
Daniel N.
Plugged them in, good quality sound. Could do with an app to alter tonal setting from desktop computer when dealing with different performers on Zoom open mics instead of getting up and down all the time.

A nice crisp clear sound with good bass response surprising for small speakers it was just what i wanted and good value for the money.

Didn't want to pay silly money so I opted for these, for the price they are unbeatable, as long as you upgrade the cables and the rubbish mains lead they do the job very well, you could pay double for some speakers that are not as good. When they have settled with use they will be even better. You even get isolation foam pads.

I bought the Donner Dyna Series Dyna3 High Definition 5.0.
They are decent quality monitors. They are worth what they cost. I use them in the office to listen to low volume techno, tranche and house are great.

For playing electric guitar you have to max the volume, add 2DB to low frequencies. Then it is just right loud enough to get a buzz and not disturb the neighbours too much. Was impressed I was scared of getting a dry sound. Had to lower 2DB on low frequencies as I had something behind the speakers, as the speakers felt, boomy probably as I was using a lot of distortion.
Never had any problems with playing music through the Bluetooth. Had volume midway on my phone and it was loud enough.
I also have a donner interface but have not tested it with that, but was using a Budda compressor going to a magic stomp pedal with a purple haze preset that I downloaded all in a donner db2 pedal board. Using a donner tele that I got direct from their website.
I also play keyboard, looking forward to test this out.

Very well made. But first instruction is ‘require your leads’ …so disappointed can’t use straight away.

I like it and it was delivered on time.

It’s excellent value. Not overly bright or sizzly and decent bottom end. I would not use it as primary monitors for sure but they are the modern boombox equivalent we not I guess to check your mixes. Great for watching TV. I have 3 pairs around the house!

Hi there,
I bought these monitors to upgrade some old but not bad computer speakers, whilst adding Bluetooth connectivity.
I am very impressed. Functionality is fine, clarity is clear and balanced, volume is adaquate.
for value I woudl say these are good at the list price, but perhaps you should spent a little more for the Presonus 3.5bt equivalents, which I also own.
However if you could get them for a good sale price, as I did, snap them up! They are great value when on sale (as Donner frequently do) and would recommend them heartily as a budget monitor.

Great pair of compact speakers using them on a record deck (with pre-amp) Good sound quality plus Bluetooth is a bonus

Amazing value for money. I am slowly building my practice area and use my mixer directly into these powered monitors. Sound is awesome for very little money. If you are on a budget then somewhere in their range will be a set for you. Great products.

I hooked these bad boys to my computer, i am a headphone dude but there are a few times i have the sound coming from speakers but i only had cheap computer speakers.. These bad boys sing nicely and it is a pleasure to listen from them.. For 30euros, you could not beat it... I have bought a lot worse for a lot more money..

These Donner 3” studio monitors work well. They are good for listening to mixes intended for today’s listeners who are into mobile audio or small systems. Not quite as accurate as high end monitors, but these perform well in their class. The make great computer speakers too. Ported cabs give a little extra bass. The treble and bass adjustment is a nice touch. Overall I am satisfied with these monitors, a good value.

These monitors are really nice! First I'd like to say it is amazing how LOUD these things can get. I haven't been able to turn them up past half way. Also, they are very clear. Very easy to set up and use. I used them for the video I posted with some simple recording software and it worked out great. They are running straight out of the headphone out from my PC. Donner has included all the cables needed to get you going. If you are in the market for some good inexpensive studio monitors, you can't go wrong with these.

*My I make a suggestion Donner you need to make a Active Studio Subwoofer for for these 3" and 4" Dyna?*
I got these after doing a lot of research and had decided to try these 3" Dyna out. So far so good. They work well with the EVO4 and I just put in order for Mackie ProFX10v3 those have output for SUBWOOFER . I've notice Donner you don't carry Studio Subs. Need too. Active Power speaker features are the best I've seen and heard.
Other than that Dyna 3" works wonderful. I don't need 5" or higher no place to put those. 8 to 10 inch Studio Sub would be more ideal.
Selling point was this feature:
Room Space/HF Trim
Professional acoustic adjusters and speakers,Room Space and HF Trim adjustments for acoustic room reflections.
TF Trim: (Room Space):This switch can be used to compensate for an exaggerated low-frequency response that can be caused by reflections in some listening environments.
HF Trim:This switch allows boost or attenuation of high-frequency output by 2dB.

Originally, I purchased these to replace the chintzy speakers on my main computer. My sons and I play Rocksmith, which is a guitar teaching video game where you play music, and the sound we had was terrible. Hooking up through the aux port on our amps didn't do much better so I went looking for a better option.
Studio monitor speakers were recommended to me so I looked into these and found the golden ticket. For the same price as a mediocre set of PC speakers, these come fully loaded. They plug right into the audio output on my PC via the included headphone-to-RCA cord and work great like that.
The Bluetooth on them is a great touch. I didn't think I would use it, ever, but it's nice to have a big set of speakers to listen to music through instead of the small Bluetooth speakers that are out there. These are by no means portable, however...
It's also a big plus that there is an aux-in and headphone port on the front of these. My PC is a large rack-mount server monstrosity that I have built into my desk and reaching the audio ports it a stretch (photos are of me testing it on my Macbook before installing on the big PC). I haven't used the aux port yet but it's nice to be able to plug in headphones without unplugging the speakers (I don't know how many other people have that issue, but there it is...).
Overall, I am very happy with these as PC speakers. The music sounds great and the price is right.

I bought these primarily as DAW monitors, and have been very pleased. I use the balanced input from my DI and the signal is clear with no extra noise. Note: the included cables will not connect 1/4" balanced out to 1/4" balanced in, so you may need extra cables to connect to a DI. But, the cable will connect these to your computer's speaker out.
The bass is deep and clearer than I had expected from small speakers. Bluetooth mode is easy to pair, and reconnects automatically. Neither my phone nor my laptop have had any connection issues or extra noise. Overall, I am pleased so far.

I have never owned a pair of monitors in the past, so decided to see what the benefits of using them are, and the clarity that these offer is great. There doesn't seem to be any additional fx added to these like my normal speakers have.
They are for lack of a better word...raw. I'm sure that users of monitor speakers are fully aware of the clear sound I'm hearing.
( Google puts it as the purpose is to better reveal the direct sound coming from your speakers so it's not masked by room noise. It also helps to flatten the frequency response.)
The added switches to choose the room space and high frequency good options to have to add or remove low and high Deb's
The blue tooth option will be used as shown in the video sounds great. There is some electronic interference as I do not have the space set up optimally for their use according to the manual....time to shop for a new desk.

I've has a couple studio monitors in the past (KRK, JBL 305 ans 306) and they all had their pros ans cons. But mostly, they were MUCH more expensive than these Donner monitors. A pair of studio monitors for that price? You can't get a better deal than that. Why? Because they are perfect for my needs.
1) Space saver: I like the keep my desk as clean and minimalist as possible. These take a lot less room than my bulky JBL 306p.
2) No background noise: The Donner monitors are SILENT when no music is played. The JBL have a constant "white noise" in the background, no matter how loud the volume is. This is a major advantage for me, as the JBL are really annoying, I can't get used to it.
3) Loudness : They are surely loud enough for my needs. I playmusic at home and like to record some stuff a couple times a week. I am no professional but I know my way around home recording. I see
3) EQ : they can be flat but depending on your taste and the setup of your room, you have some Room space and HF equalization settings. This is pretty handy and makes a real difference!
4) Sound quality : I was really impressed by the sound of these thing for the price!
5) Inputs possibilities : In addition of the usual TRS inputs, no other studio monitors that I know of have Aux input or Bluetooth. These ones have it! And inThey also have RCA inputs if it's your thing. This allows for a lot of possibilities, like just using them on the fly with your phone via Bluetooth.
6) Different uses: Because of the different inputs, these can be top notch living room speakers.
The only complaint I have is that the volume know could have been on the front. But hey, that's it.
So overall why pay like 3-4x this price when you are home recording? For me, there is only one reason : if you want to play LOUD with a guitar modeler, buy some 6-8 inches monitors. Other than that, buy these with confidence.
Frank
These speakers are good for a new « home studio » project, or simply to use as Bookshelf speakers stream music in the living room.
The sound quality is nice, it offers a good balance and keep it’s clarity when you pump up the volume. I experienced some static noise at first when powered on with no music playing, but according to the user manual, it’s cause by some electronic interference...I moved some stuff around and it fixed the problem.
Bluetooth connection is quickly done and offers a 10-12m range in house.

I primarily purchased these for my modest home recording studio. 10 years ago I purchased KRKs for all of my mixing and mastering needs but I quickly discovered that they coloured the sound far too much. Due to the heavy duty speakers, my mixes were way too bassy because those speakers can push a lot. So I did a lot of my mixing on PC speakers which actually turned out pretty good, but I decided to gamble a stamp and buy some new, affordable monitors. The fact that I can use them wirelessly via bluetooth for Spotify was an added bonus.
With the Donner speakers, I went for specifically the 3", because I was hoping beyond hope they were flat sounding speakers that actually wouldn't provide me with too much bass and would be as close to the "average person's" speakers in their homes. And they are exactly what I was looking for. That's what studio engineers look for in their speakers; they don't want the best, because most people have average sounding equipment at home.
Yamaha NS-10s were the gold standard in studios for decades, not because they were the best, but because they were the best at sounding average!
That is no an insult to these Donner speakers, these little dynamo's are fantastic. In fact, the video attached isn't my studio, but my son's bedroom studio, because as soon as he heard them, he absconded with them to his room and I haven't gotten them back. Its' just as well. He does far more recording than I do these days and he needs them more than I do.
The various options on the back of speaker 1 gives you everything you could ask for to interface with and fine tune the speakers to your space and the addition of the acoustic foam to place the speakers on is a very nice extra touch that you'll appreciate. The fact that the speakers are much lighter and take up less real estate on my workstation (and my son's) then the KRKs are a godsend.
Sound quality is really surprising. Check out the video. Featuring a song with vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and sax. Everything can be heard crystal clear.
I've come across cheaper monitor speakers in the past and wasn't really sure but I've been a Donner fan for years now - have lots of their equipment - and #1, their products are really well made and #2, their customer service is really second to none. The rare time I've had an issue, they've responded and rectified it very quickly. That's why you'll see so many people who have Donner products. We keep coming back.
TL;DR: Buy these. They're great for recording/mixing, home use and just relaxing. Will accept 1/4" cables, direct speaker cable or RCA inputs.
