if you want a solid well built guitar then I would suggest a look at it, the electronics are not it's strong point, the tuners are useable as is the tremolo
the little amp is pretty cool I did not expect a useable sound from it but found a decent clean tone ,a nice bit of of bluesy crunch and a lead tone
guitar arrived pretty much set up from the box
a solid foundation to build upon

I have absolutely no experience with guitars, I had no clue what anything was or what I was doing. I was looking at online guides, and whenever it said I needed something, I realised it came with the bundle. Even at 17 years old, this was easy to pick up and an enjoyable experience

This bundle is absolutely beautiful! Our 14 year-old son really wanted to learn guitar and received this for Christmas- he is thrilled! Do not think because it's so affordable that you are going to get something cheap, it's really well made and high quality. Cannot recommend this brand enough!

I really liked the guitar but I feel I should have purchased a smaller size as I am quite a small person. 5' 3" Smallish hands, small body size, only getting smaller as I am 80 years old Anyway I will persevere a bit longer then I suppose it'll be into the garage. But as I say I was Impressed with the guitar, mini amp, guitar 'bag' Strap, nice sound, just as I say a bit too big for my body size thank you very much, quick delivery. Yours sincerely. Great company and quality guitar for the price plus speedy delivery!

Very nice, and definitely worth the money. I highly recommend this Guitar

Great value, good for beginners.
Helpful customer service that doesn't fight you.

I purchased this guitar for myself as a complete beginner and thought this package to be a great value. It truly is a great value and the guitar is doing well for the first month or so I have been using it.

I was looking for an inexpensive 'beater' guitar that I could take with me anywhere and not worry about damaging it. I own a few USA Fender models and because of their value I didn't feel right about hauling them around.
This kit includes all the bits that a beginner would need. In addition to the guitar you get a strap, cord, tuner, picks, capo and spare strings; plus a battery-powered mini-amp. If you're a guitar player then you would already have these items of course...but they are of good quality and certainly great to have as backups (or little presents to any young beginners you may be working with).
The guitar itself looks great. The paint job is excellent and it looks very pleasing to the eye. You'd easily mistake it for a much more expensive guitar.
The guitar was also very well packed, and I noted that they'd put a layer of protection between the fingerboard and the strings for shipping purposes. My last USA Fender that I bought in 2011 didn't even have this; and as a result there was some scarring on the frets from rubbing strings. But none of that with this Donner guitar. I didn't attach any pictures to this review because another reviewer did; mine arrived looking exactly the same.
Quality-wise, I would rate this as equal to a Squier Affinity Stratocaster. The neck was easily adjustable and the bridge saddles are of good quality and very easily adjustable too. The action at the nut was acceptable and I was able to get it set up to my liking in the normal amount of time. Going over the fingerboard with my FretRocker, there were no high frets; an amazing thing for a guitar in this price range. One thing that helped me decide to try this Donner guitar was the humbucker configuration at the bridge; something that you'd pay quite a bit more to get in a Squier.
The mini-amplifier that comes with the kit is an absolute blast! Yes, it's dinky but that's the beauty...it's so portable and sounds much better than you'd think. It has an AUX IN jack as well as a HEADPHONE OUT. There is a distortion channel that you can access by sliding a switch on the back of it.
The included accessories are of good quality. Certainly better than what you'd expect in a beginner's kit.
When you factor in the quality of the guitar, the utility of the amp and the accessories, you just can't beat the value of this package. For a beginner, it's literally EVERYTHING you need to get started. The fact that you get change back from a $200 bill is just amazing to me. I wish I'd had this when I first started playing guitar. I'd have saved myself some serious money.

great starter guitar, highly recommend might want to upgrade amp and strings in the future though

I bought this for my son who is just now learning guitar. For a fresh beginner this is great because it packages all the necessary accessories all together.

This was the perfect set for my younger sister who is a beginner and has just started learning about electric guitars. It was really convenient that I was able to purchase everything included as a set or else I wouldn’t have known what to buy! You definitely get a good value for your money and can stay within a budget without sacrificing good craftsmanship. Would recommend

I purchased this kit for my 16 year old son, who is a very beginner musician as a Christmas present. He was thrilled to get an electric guitar- he has a very inexpensive acoustic guitar already. This is a much higher quality instrument compared to that.
I actually ordered this item twice- I bought the left-handed version, thinking that was how my left-handed son plays guitar, but it turns out he actually plays a right-handed instrument. Return at my local Kohls store was super easy and I re-ordered the right-handed version right away. Shipping in both cases was on time. The outer box was a little banged up and flimsy, but the inside box that contains the guitar and kit was fine.
As a beginner guitarist, my son actually wasn't sure what to do with all the items in the kit. There are no instructions, other than one that comes with the amp. So far, the amp does not appear to be very loud. We are happy with the purchase, and my son looks forward to learning and playing the instrument.

I'm re-learning guitar during COVID and needed a cheap solution that wasn't a piece of trash. This guitar puts out quality sound, the practice amp is loud enough to practice on without disturbing the neighbors (it definitely wouldn't work for a show or anything like that), and the bundle -- strap, case, tremolo bar, picks, tuner... what am I forgetting? There was so much in it! -- rounds out the package so that you have everything you need to unpack it and play. I'm very impressed with this bundle. It's exactly what I needed to hone my rusty skills. Would recommend!

Donner hasn't been making guitars long but that doesn't mean this is not a good guitar. This was purchased as a gift and is just right as a starter guitar. Namely, if he doesn't stay with it, we're not out a bunch of money. And with that comment, we're not setting up for failure, just testing how interested he is in a guitar. One of the problems with cheap guitars is that if they are difficult or frustrating to play, the student may quickly lose interest. So far that's not been the case and electrics are a little easier to learn on because the frets are a little easier to manage and there's less finger stretching than an acoustic. I'm learning on an acoustic and found while testing this guitar out that the electric was easier. The amp that comes in this set is a great idea and works. He lives in an apartment and even though you can practice playing an electric without an amp, it's more enjoyable with the sound coming through a little louder but not disturbing the neighbors. There's not much more of an improvement with the more expensive beginner guitars (Fender Squire, Ibanez) to justify paying up to twice as much.
I want one for myself now and would purchase this Donner set for myself.

I own several guitars and have been playing for many years. I originally purchased this guitar to have a stratocaster I could eventually modify with custom pickups and other hardware. It's an attractive guitar, surprisingly comparable in aesthetics and feel to far more expensive guitars in this style. The creamy colors and finish on the body of the guitar are attractive.

Great Guitar and accessories! Packed very well, guitar sounds wonderful, right outta the box! Quick tuning, and your ready to roll. No complaints, just straight happy with this purchase! I haven’t played in over 30 years, so got this beginner guitar, and I can honestly say it sounds beautiful, looks beautiful. Great little amp, perfect for practice, not for performing. Don’t pass this up if your debating between othe guitars around this price point...a true bargain for what you get. Keep on Truckin’ my friends!
Update (4/1/2019): I have played this guitar daily since I first opened it in Christmas morning (2018). I still stand firm with my review. Only two negative points to mention now that I have spent lots of time with my sunburst friend. Guitar goes out of tune fairly easily and often when playing, and sometimes while having it on the guitar stand I purchased for it. It’s still very manageable, but a little irritating at times. 2nd negative is the tone and switching between pick ups. When switching between certain tones, there is no change. Not a huge deal for me, but depending on what your playing, not having certain tones right where you want them can be a little annoying. Otherwise, this is still an amazing deal and perfect for any beginner or casual player looking for guitar (package) in this price range. Enjoy✌
UPDATE 12/13/2020: I brought this in to my local guitar shop, has it set up proper, and it sounds excellent. The switches work great, also had the frets filed down some, since they were poking out and caused some scratching and cuts on my left hand on my pointer finger. Easy fix you can actually do at home. The action is wonderfully low making it much easier for bar chords and sliding up and down the neck. So again, I stand by my original review - it’s a perfect guitar for beginners and those who are picking up a guitar after not playing for many years and are unsure if the commitment is there. Once you are sure your into playing/practicing daily (as I did after not playing for 20+ years), then save and buy a better guitar. I have done so and now use this for learning how to do set ups at home, string changes, lowing or raising the action, and great if you aren’t familiar with the inner workings of the electric guitar. Highly recommended to parents looking for an affordable option for your child, or if your an adult looking for an inexpensive guitar in the Stratocaster style, this one should not disappoint!

The guitar has a nice weight to it and the hardware seems fair or comparable to other $100+ guitars available. The guitar struggles to hold a tune. You're gonna need to buy good Quaility strings and possibly install a new nut and string trees to achieve a playable instrument. However, I bought this guitar as a platform to modify and develope luthier skills. The speaker amp is not worth anything. Don't consider it when deciding which guitar. The in included battery operated tuner is cool.

it looks very pretty

Really great value in it's looks, shape, colour and the extra bits just complete it. The amp is so differentl due to it's size but still belts out a great sound.

Strongly recommend this for any beginner. At this price point you are getting great quality and amazing value. If you improve and want to step up, then that is a different story, but if you either just play casually or learn casually or don't really do much more, you get a great guitar that doesn't break the bank.

I’m in my 40s and decided for the 231st time in my life that THIS time I’m going to learn how to play guitar. I absolutely LOVE this guitar and everything that came with it. I’ve had it for about eight weeks now and I cannot put it down. The fluid feel of the strings and the quality of the sound on the super tiny and portable amp makes this kit GREAT for moving around the house when your wife mumbles under her breath that your mid-life crisis is becoming a problem, then passive-aggressively breathes out of her nose loudly between guitar strums. This kit includes everything you need to play with extra accessories. Excellent value. I would recommend purchasing an extra pillow so you can just sleep on the couch because you don’t have to deal with that. You’re a rockstar now.

I play acoustic most of the time. I like to play for my kids to help them wind down at night before bed... but have been wanting to mess around with power chords and grinding out some heavier rock....
The Donner came through like a champ. Seriously can't believe everything you get at this price. Excellent deal.

For the price point of this guitar I wasn't going into this purchase expecting a whole lot. I was extremely surprised at the quality of the packing alone. It was boxed very well and the guitar was well wrapped to prevent damage. The first thing I looked at was the neck. They don't state in the specs the radius but I am guessing it is at least a 12" radius. The strings were super high as most guitars come from the factory. I was able to get the action pretty low on both sides. A little less than a nickles width. That is generally how low I run all my guitar action. The neck quality is outstanding and the nut isn't bad. The only negative for me on the neck is the fret size. I like Jumbo or Medium Jumbo but these are all level and there is no buzzing. The frets are dressed nicely and there are no burs when sliding your hand down the neck. It came with 9's on it and a spare pack of strings. The guitar is comfortable to play and you should have no issues playing lead with the radius on this neck. This kit didn't leave anything out. The included turner was very easy to use and worked well. The mini amp is pretty cool. Charge it on your PC and rip away! The guitar cable that it came with is not the normal junk cable that comes with beginner level guitars. It is a good quality cable. I was even impressed with the included capo. It went on even and with good pressure and the guitar stayed in tune once it was on. Some capos you have to play around with the position on the neck. The good surface contact could be due to the radius of the neck. The guitar strap is more than adequate for the guitar and decent quality. All in all this is a great purchase for a beginner, it comes with everything a kid to rock out!!

I ordered that guitar for my husband as a Birthday gift as he always wanted to learn to play buy never had time, now when he get it he started his lessons! Guitar came packed very well, it is sturdy and looks very pretty, I think it is great for beginners but also for someone who is playing some time, it came with some accessories and even with a storage bag which prevent dusting.

Taking a chance on an unknown company can bring joy or sadness. Sometimes it’ll bring plenty of either, and on a rare occasion both. I’m happy to say that Donner is bringing joy with their Standard Series.

I wanted to learn to play guitar at the ripe old age of 59, and saw a bunch of good reviews of this guitar here and on youtube, so decided to take a chance. I received the guitar in good condition. Had to tune the guitar, which was not surprising, and utilized the included guitar tuner, which I found a little difficult to use (sure it is me), so tuned it with Guitar Tuna app. The amplifier is perfect for me, as it is small and easy to take from room to room. The package itself includes guitar, bag, strap, tuner, extra strings, picks, capo. I have been playing it everyday since I received it. If you are looking for a good quality electric guitar to fiddle around with and see if it is something you want to continue to pursue, you can't go wrong.

I'm completely new to guitar. I've worked through the first few lessons at Justin Guitar using this instrument.

The best guitar buy I have made! Awesome sound quality on the guitar itself. The amp is also great! Long battery life and the distortion is perfect for playing metal! Strings are a great gage and can be tuned to Drop F with no issues

Great for beginners! High quality and value

I am pretty happy with this over all. I was a little bit Frustrated with the delivery but it come with everything promised on the order. I never played guitar before but at the beginning the last 2 string Sound Bazzi (string E,B) Because it touched the freight and I take it apart and assembly together by watching YouTube video and reading some articles.

Great for beginners and even intermediate players. Sounds just as good as any other electric guitar. However, if you’re looking to play heavy metal this guitar isn’t for you. I can feel it’s a very sturdy and quality build guitar, and is a bit heavy even. Overall really happy with everything, the mini amp packs a punch!! I’m going to be buying a Jackson soon as I’m interested more in heavy metal. But you will find this guitar lasting you a very long time if you take care of it of course.

Keep in mind that this is a beginner level guitar and not targeted toward guitarist that have been playing for years. That being said, I am actually really impressed with this guitar and the rest of the kit.
Guitar:
The materials are lesser grade (tuning heads, pickups, bridge etc.) as you expect on a beginner model guitar, but the overall its put together well. The neck is a bit more bulky than I would prefer, but it feels pretty good with a satin feel. The frets are dressed really well. I've several student level guitars and the frets usually dig into your hand, but that's not an issue with the Donner guitar. It also looks like it's even made from actually wood and not cheap plywood. I haven't taken off the pick guard to check though.
Amp:
The amp was much smaller than I had expected. I've included a picture of my iPhone 6 in front of it for reference. The distortion channel seems to only have one level of distortion, but the clean channel is pretty decent. It even has a built in battery and is extremely easy to pick it up and move to a different room (which is nice for the parents of aspiring guitarist).
Accessories:
The cable is good quality. I use Donner cables on my own pedal board. The tuner arrived broken, Donner quickly sent me a replacement. I was really impressed with their customer service. The capo is so good. I tried it out on a couple other guitars and it seems to work well. The strap, picks and strings are also good.
Overall, this guitar kit is a really good value for the price. I've been playing guitar for 13 years now and actually found myself having fun playing this guitar. I would recommend this to a freind
fff
It is a beautiful left handed guitar, yeah! Great quality for price, great value and has all the accessories needed to start playing straight away, which I did! Small enough for me also as I am small of stature with small hands, I could go on. I love it and play it everyday
