Got this as a gift for a filmmaker friend. So far they love it! Great value for a shotgun mic, but a little cheap feeling.

Great addition to my recording setup!

This Mic, works extremely well with my Canon Video Camera Vixia HF R800. It satisfies my needs fully. The product arrived the next day. Thank you all.

Small and compact. sturdy and good to learn sound for videos with.

The sound on this mic is crystal clear, they also provide you with the batteries for the mic. The blue suspender is actually cool and makes it different from the typical red one. Super easy to use and sounds good.

while we havent tested outside, the audio quality seems to be slightly better than the internal microphone of the camera while filming indoors. Based on the way it sounds, it appears to work well!

I love it! You can charge it with a micro USB, you can plug headphones to hear the real time sound recorded and it comes with different cables. Feels sturdy, has an anti vibration and wind. Sound quality is really good too.

This is the third Moukey microphone I have tried and I am very impressed with all of them. On a DSLR or Camcorder, this microphone will greatly enhance the quality of your videos. Definitely a keeper! Very impressed.

The microphone is very lightweight. It is a metal construction so likely aluminum. This is not an omni-directional microphone. It has a Cardioid polar pattern so it picks up sound more from the front, less from the sides and much less from behind the microphone and that is exactly what happened in my tests. Battery life seems good. I have been testing it for over a week without recharging.

The self noise on this mic is quite low. The recording levels are very good on this microphone but if you can't be close to the mic there is a 10db boost which works very well without increasing the self noise much. There is also a low cut filter which really reduces low-end noise dramatically. There is an "ON" light on the back of the unit as well as a USB charging port to recharge the lithium battery. I would have preferred the "ON" light to be on the top of the microphone so it would be visible from wherever but being designed for use on a DSLR it makes sense to have it on the back. Either way, it is a minor point. The shock mount seems to work better than most I have seen.

This is a very good microphone. I have tested it recording to my DSLR and my Camcorder. It works extremely well and is a significant improvement on the recording quality in both. As well I have used it as an external mic on a couple of different digital voice recorders where it compares favorably to the much more expensive mics I usually use for my voice over work. With a TRRS cable it even works with my Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

Works very well with my canon T-5. The mic enhances the audio recording on my camera like 100% better
The mic has a built-in battery, which can be charged with a microUSB
I would recommend this for anyone who will be doing a lot of video recording with their DSLR
The mic also works with smartphone via 3.5mm audio jack so it's very versatile

I wanted to standardize one of my testing methods and needed a solid shotgun mic that can capture audio from sources 3-4 meters away. This is exactly what I was looking for!
Capturing volume and clarity is key, and the MouKey MCm-3 does this perfectly! This also has a +10db gain switch but I don't need to use it at all. For my uses, this is exactly what I needed. Happy shopping!

For this cost this little microphone is great! It was used here as a secondary mic, connected via Rode Wireless Go. Easy to use and very straight forward. I need to do some more tests with it to see just how far back you can go from the audio source. In this set up the mic was approx. 4-5ft away from the individual speaking, and was clear, although with lots of room noise (white noise, some echo of the room as well).
I also found that the +10db switch is pretty much a necessity to have on. When it was off there was not nearly enough input, so I think that will just always be on.
Having the rechargeable battery in there is great, but for me I would have rather it just be built in, rather than a battery slot. Personal preference I suppose.
The wind cover works in the wind, but it definitely effects the input, I found it to be much quieter and slightly muffled, but I don’t think I’ll be using the mic outdoors much.
All in all, the mic does what it needs to do with some tweaking of settings and positioning.

my old camera mic got broken so i was looking for a new mic. finally i got the one i wanted. i recorded the video with the mic on and off. and clearly there was a big difference in the sound quality. the mic sound is more clear than the off mic sound. i am not sure but i think it got some ANC because i feel the difference between the sound. i love this mic.

This is a great little addition to my DSLR kit. I don't shoot a lot of video; but this microphone is a must-have. It eliminates the muffled sounds you get from your DSLR's built-in microphone. The sound quality is absolutely stellar compared to my Nikon's built-in microphone.
This particular kit uses a rechargeable lithium cell to power an on-board headphone amplifier. This is an amazingly useful feature as it lets you hear what the camera is recording. A real confidence-booster when you're shooting that once-in-a-lifetime thing.
The shock-mount system is brilliantly simple and effective; and looks good too.
You just can't go wrong with this kit.

This is the second Moukey microphone I purchased in my efforts to upgrade livestream sound for our town council as well as my personal uses. I thought I would be happy with just a basic microphone, but the options on this one got my attention. I didn’t know how much I needed the monitor extension. It is amazing to have the option to hear and make adjustments on the fly instead of having to use filters after the video is already done. This Moukey mic has what I have come to expect from them in clarity. The options for microphone configuration and increase gain level have little impact on the clarity while the small adjustments are perfect for fine tuning. I recommend this inexpensive item to anyone looking to upgrade from a built-in mic, especially if they are out and about while filming.

While I am not that well versed in audio settings and working with audio, but I do know the sound diffence between the built in microphone and an external microphone. I believe the best setting for the Moukey when filming is to have the gain switch at the first positon (0db) and the Bass and the second position.
For the price, this is a really great shotgun microphone. I had a Lav mic from this company (until i lost it) and it was great when i wanted to record narrated videos from behind the camera, but I needed a shotgun microphone to be able to record on the street interviews or the ambiant sounds as a record my rolling vlogs (video blogs) in both indoors and outdoors. This Moukey Mcm-3 works great as shotgun microphone for my Nikon D7000.
I now just need a smailler external microphone Mini shotgun mic when I am using an acton camera on a gimble.

I bought this microphone for my Sony Alpha 58 because like many cameras it has a mic input jack but no headphone socket, which has frustrated users for years. On the A58 you cannot check the audio quality in the camera as the speaker is next to useless, so I normally have to take the SD card out and play it back on a computer to check the quality. Not any more! This mic does the job. Not only can I now monitor the audio while shooting, it also has a low-cut filter, a +10dB switch, a powerful 14500 rechargeable battery and a shock mount. The quality sounds as good as my old Rode Videomic with slightly less bass but that's how I prefer my voice recording. For the price - brilliant!

Product was good quality and effective did the job successfully. Would suggest as a good cheap microphone to buy!

I bought this recording microphone, to record for myself for our virtual choir and video recording. And also when the pandemic is done, to record outdoor for better audio quality for my vlog.
I've been using this for few hours, and battery still good, so I am not sure yet how long the battery or how many hours the charge will last.
-easy to use, plug and play, very lightweight which is important for me
-good quality sound, clear voice quality
-no extra loud static noise/mic feedback
-comes with free rechargeable battery
-easy to recharge, you could easily use power bank for emergency when run out. It's micro usb.
-can use it with dslr/android by just adding audio adapter if mobile phone has no audio jack.
-red led light when charging, light will off when it is full

I remember buying my first mic years ago and it wasn't even that great a mic, but it cost me 5 times the amount that this mic cost. And I really don't think that it was any better. I am just amazed at what you can get in regards to audio gear for a very reasonable amount. There really is no reason not to have an external mic with your camera. Budget really doesn't play that big a part anymore. Now if you need the absolute best then you will want to get a more expensive mic, but if you just want better than your camera mic (actually considerably better than your camera mic) for your home movies, youtube videos, zoom calls or whatever than I would really take a look at this mic. And if you are going to be filming from behind the camera the fact that this mic has a headphone jack so that you can monitor your mic sound is such a great feature and a total surprise to see something like this on such a budget-friendly mic. Just make sure to turn the power on when you are ready to record and off when you are done. Really a nice mic.

For the price, this is definitely a 5/5. It's a low-end mic, but they spared no expense in ensuring you get the best bang for your buck. Compared to the built-in microphone in my DSLR (a Nikon D5100) this add-on mic makes a notable improvement to the high-end while not overly amplifying the room noise. I purposefully ran it with a fan next to the camera, because I wanted to see how the mic handled wind noise. Not bad at all. Granted, I'll be using it indoors most of the time, so I'm pleased that the overall quality of the mid-range/high frequencies sound much crisper than with the built-in mic. I like the sound of the mic with the low-cut and gain both turned off. Size-by-side, it is notably better sounding to me than the camera mic. The only improvement would be if the mic could be a bit more directional. The fan is on a 90-degree angle to it

Used this for a video and it bested all my expectations, easy to set up and it heightened the capabilities of the inbuilt mic in the camera. Great price, great product.

I have used mine twice (not had it long). I was really surprised at how good the sound was. Not as powerful as the Takstar 598 but the quality of the sound was surprisingly good - no post production editing!

Excellent microphone for the money. Excellent for quite a lot more money too. Good pickup pattern with effective low filter. Long battery life with usb charger built in. Decent resistance to wind resistance which becomes excellent with addition of a cheap dead cat. Don’t expect much better unless spending more then 10x as much.

The microphone comes very well packaged as shown in the photo, it very easily connects to my camera and I love that I can connect headphones to it to listen to what I'm recording. It really handy with guitar videos!!

This is a superb shotgun microphone with brilliant sound quality. What I liked most is that it can connect directly to my phone and used that way. I have an android phone and needed a 3rd party app to get this to work (that was the same for all mics I've used with my phone). The quality of this was great, very clear and crisp sound it didn't pick up any outside noise either.

I initially bought this product as I like to record my guitar tutorial videos and my current mic wasn't giving me the sound I need.
