This is a great little delay pedal! You can get a good range of effects from the simple controls, the feedback adjustment being particularly useful for generating weird noises (or preventing them). Had a lot of fun experimenting with this thing.

Decent little pedal for the £

For the price (and even way more) I don’t see how you can beat Donner’s wave delay. It’s packaged very well and when you pull it out, you feel the solid build quality. The switch has a weighty heft to it that feels like it will stand up to years of use. The controls are very straight forward with basic time delay, intensity, feedback, and an analog/digital switch. Controls are very straightforward. I put it in analog mode most of the time, but the digital produces a nice crisp delay. Donner also makes the yellow fail delay pedal that is similar but lacks the digital option. Overall, I have no complaints. You can pay many many multiples of the price, but I think most casual players won’t find a better mix of features for the price. Highly recommend.

Fully functional mini pedal that packs all of the needs of delay. Could not be more pleased with the product.

Grabbed this because I wanted a delay pedal but wasn't ready to spend a lot on one. I think it works well and sounds good.

Great delay pedal - perfect for all genres including Rock n’ Roll/Rockabilly. Thought with its bargain price I’d get a bargain product but so far it’s done itself proud.

I am an amateur guitarist with 14 years of playing, and I was looking to replace my existing delay pedal with something newer. I am not a very techy guy, and tend to play on simple distortion and Wah, but I like once in a while to try some new toy and...I was surprised when trying the Donner pedal, surprised of the value for money, surprised of the tone and sound it can give back with simple adjustments. Switching between the tone modes allows to cover a wide range of music from different decades, going from the "classics" to the more modern playing styles. A lot of versatility that for an average guitarist like me, is all I can ask for. Great pedal for its size and price. Worth it! I had been looking for a high quality, small footprint delay pedal for quite a while and came across the Donner. At this price point I decided to give it a try and it really delivers. It comes nicely packaged with basic instructions. (Of course if you bought a pedal you probably already know how it works). Three knobs and a toggle switch allowing for easily dialing in delay. The toggle in the “warm” position is your analog sound. The toggle down is digital. The big knob in the center is the Time adjustment, above left knob is Level and the above right is Feedback. That’s it, which for me is perfect. My basic delay is slapback or a light repeat with a longish tail. It took no time at all for me to find the perfect setting for both. The rig for my review is a G&L ASAT Classic, Thinline Tele, 62 Tele Reissue and Les Paul Jr. played through a Quilter 101R with a 12” Tone Tubby Alnico Red, and an original Mesa Boogie Mark I with a 12” Tone Tubby Tabu. The pedal offers a very clean transparent, no muddiness sound, very rugged aluminum housing, LED “on” light and truebypass. As I have been looking to lighten my load and carry a smaller pedal board I will definitely look at Donner’s other offerings. Looking forward to the day when this pandemic runs its course and I can begin gigging again. Transparent sound Easy to use Plays well with other pedals With more exploration a variety additional delay types are available. Well made

I have been playing guitar, badly, off and on since 1989. I've never had that spark of talent, or am interminable drive to make up for it. I've been crumby, and I know it, everyone knows it. But good enough to have fun. I've never dreamed of being a great player really, I know my talents lie in my voice, and I am good with that. But that doesn't stop me from playing, and having a ton of fun. It also doesn't stop me from wanting good gear. I have a pretty good collection of guitars, amps, and pedals that i play with, mostly in production in the studio. I know no one really wants to hear me play on stage, and it takes me a hundred times to get it right once. This little pedal is worming it's way into my heard, and my pedal board. It runs off of a 9v barrel lead, which I have in abundance on my board. It is made out of light weight aluminum, so it is sturdier than a plastic one. That is always a plus because in addition to being a crumby ax-man, I'm also kind of clumsy sometimes. And I love the color. It's not important to the sound, I know, but it's nice to also like the package, you know? Functionally, this thing packs quite the punch though. First off, it has a true bypass, which most pedals this size don't. As I spend most of my time recording in the studio, I can't afford any buzz or line noise from crumby gear. The Digital, and Analog option is nice, and distinct. It has excellent control and attenuation of the Wet and Dry signals. The control of the delay effect itself is excellent, with no crackle, or unexpected noise either. The in-line cabling works great, and allows me to add it to the effects chain simply and easily. It is my new favorite delay and I am very happy with it.

i picked this up just looking for something interesting and not too expensive, sometimes a new piece of gear will light a fire in me, and this thing delivered - big time. I am not so sure its analog, though i havent opened it up. That matters very little to me, i got over the analog junkie thing long ago, i just care if it has a SOUND. To my ear, the Digital setting just sounds like a plain, clean delay, nothing added, just clean, kinda sterile repeats. The Warm setting adds a cool watery reverb to it - Wave was a great choice of name - filling it out sort of like the Boss Tera Reverb or Delay-whatever that one is called. And if you set it right and adjust your picking dynamics the repeats will continue FOREVER - way longer than ive ever heard from an analog delay, getting closer to looper territory. And this could just be me, but it seems to be intuitive, mistakes will fade out quickly and the bits i want to keep going do - it actually seems to know what i want. That strikes me as intelligent/intuitive and therefore digital. Again, maybe its just me hearing what i want to but it does it every time and i have spent more hours with this pedal that you would believe. And it was 45 or 50 bucks to boot! My other delay pedals were a well worn Ibanez AD9 and an EH Memory Boy, both of which i have since sold. As may be clear, i am something of a psychedelic ranger, and if getting out there is your thing it's time and dough well spent. FWIW, pairing it with the Caline SnakeBite reverb WILL alter your consciousness if you're partial to that sort of thing. Anyhoo thats my take. Is it analog? You decide. Personally, i dont miss my analog delays in the slightest, and wound up making a profit off them. Your mileage, of course, may vary. Hope this helped someone :)

I purchased this little guy looking for a delay, but not wanting to have to go all in on a fancier delay with a ton of options and settings that I know I would personally never use. I just wanted that little hint of delay at the end of my signal. It is not fancy, it is not very complicated to operate or to dial in a decent flava of delay into your signal. There is a toggle switch that gives you either a warm or a bright kind of tonal character to the delay, there are two mini knobs, one for effect and the other for feedback. The big knob is time. I use this in tandem with another Donner pedal - a Verb Square. They make a great pair at the end of the signal chain. Perfect salt and pepper on my tone. I am impressed with these little Donner pedals as a whole. First, the price cannot be beat. Very affordable. Second, they have good sonic flavor. They hold their own quite handedly when paired with high-end boutique pedals or even just on their own with a clean signal. So back to the Delay, specifically - super simple to use - very easy to dial in just the right hint of delay - or get buck-wild with the feedback, its cool; and while I don't know that I would say it is 1000% uber "transparent" in the signal chain; I will say that it keeps the original tone going in, sounding pretty much the same coming out but with delay on it. Solid chassis - sturdy little mini-pedal, takes up very little real-estate on the board. Knobs feel good and tight, switch tight, jacks and power-in all good. No battery harness so be advised you need a power supply. Affordability - it is not pretentious or fancy, but it does the job; so, what you get for what you pay, I think it has been for me at least, a very good value for the money. Frankly, I have zero complaints with this little guy.
Auri Vrubliauskas
It works very good for the price. A little quirky but for the money it gets the job done.

Its cleaner than the carbon copy, more real sounding than the nux Atlantic, and if you dont own a modeler than this is your pedal buddy
Susan Higginson
I've been playing guitar for the past 2 years and I kind of gotten bored about the same old sounds that it was producing, so I decided to change things up and get pedals. So far I have a distortion, a chorus, and now with this delay pedal I can make so many combinations that sound awesome. This pedal is a very good price for the quality that it is. It has knobs that let you switch it up a bit, and it also has a setting to change it from digital to analog which is a bonus because sometimes I like to play it smoother and other times I like the "clinckiness" of it. All in all, this is a great buy, and I definitely recommend it.
Joanna Grant
Just the right amount of slap back I wanted.

Love these mini pedals. Sound great and great value

My old delay pedal is pretty large compared to the mini-pedals that are offered now, and takes up valuable real estate on my pedalboard. Its size, combined with an annoying volume drop led me to look for a replacement. After reading a lot of positive internet forum feedback on the Donner Wave, I decided to give it a shot. The Wave arrived in a box that had a foam cushion not around the pedal itself, but an additional one to protect all of the knobs and switch in shipping. Donner also thoughtfully included some “case candy” in the form of two stickers. The pedal seems to be constructed in a solid, quality manner and all controls operate quietly. I could not detect any noise added to my signal chain in use or in bypass mode. A really cool feature of this pedal is the ability to switch between modern and retro/classic tones. The “digital” has a very clean tone in the repeats, with the “warm” setting giving a little bit of dirt in the repeats to emulate an analog delay.I like having this versatility to tailor my tone a bit more to whatever genre of music that I am playing. I mainly use delay in “warm” to add a little slapback for playing early rockabilly, and it’s extremely easy to dial this in. It’s also equally good for U2-eque long repeating delays in the “digital mode” or to add to distortion to fatten the tone. If you are looking to get crazy for psychedelic or ambient/noise music, setting the feedback control to the higher setting can get some really nuts self-oscillation. (I’m a huge fan of versatile pedals that can go from tame to way-out-there, and this is one!) The Donner Wave is a solid deal on a delay pedal, and I think that someone would be hard-pressed to find any faults with it, especially at this price. I definitely recommend it!
Jackie Constantine
Really impressed with the sound from this little pedal. I was pleasantly surprised. It looks durable as can be too. It's a great value for the price.

Solid build. Great pedal!
Chris Kent
Surprisingly both the analog and the "digital" sound good as long as you dial in specifically for each mode. Level Feedback and Time settings that sound good in one mode, likely won't in the other. Once you dial one in, it's easy enough to dial in the right setting when switching to tge other mode.
Elise Harper
The media could not be loaded. Ok, this is a different little delay pedal than others out there. It does a great job as a simple, intuitive analog delay, tones are very good. I really like the tone switch. The "warm" setting makes the repeats sound like they are progressing thru a cocked wah pedal, which I find very cool. It makes the delay feel a little softer. I think it works great for ambient sounding stuff. I'll probably have it set on "warm" 90% of the time. Switched to "digital", it gives a much crisper delay that is more present and noticable in the mix. What is different (and pretty interesting) about this delay is what happens when you push the feedback control beyond 12 o'clock (see video). What starts to happen is that the delay signal begins to feed back over itself. Depending on the settings, it will build and compound on itself until you just have a self-perpetuating, oscillating, pulsing wall of noise. Not always desirable, but if you get it started then make adjustments to the feedback and level controls you can sort of keep it manageable. If you start moving the speed knob, things get super weird. I have a vintage Digitech Multi-Play delay that people pay stupid money for because you can do similar things with it, but it has all sorts of problems. If you're in the market for that sort of thing, this is a way more attainable pedal than sketchy old pedals. Whether or not the odd, oscillating noise maker side of the pedal appeals to you, using this as a straight delay is great. I'm spoiled and usually use delay with a tap tempo setting, but I'll definitely have this one in the mix for the "warm" delay setting, as I find it very appealing. It would also work nicely for slap back delay on the clean setting for something with a little more country sound.

This is the updated version of the Wave Analog Delay. They changed the modes to "warm" and "digital" and put it in a standard mini enclosure. The warm mode is dark sounding and sits really well behind the dry signal. The digital mode is clearer, but not as pristine as a real digital delay. I appreciate that there's a big difference between the two modes. I hate it when you flip a toggle and barely hear a difference! Overall, this is a great sounding, affordable analog delay. The build quality seems excellent and it has a very solid feel to it. I like both modes and it's really nice to have two distinct sounding analog delays in one pedal. My only complaint is there is some noise in the digital mode when the mix is turned up high.
Jacob Smith
This isn’t an EQD pedal of course, but it’s a subtle little pedal that gives me the quiet effect I’m looking for. Good way to check the sound ya want before dropping 200 bucks for a high dollar pedal.
Billy McIntosh
This little bargain unit has a great sound to it. Clean and no added noise in my circuit, along with a really tasteful flavor of delay. I’ve heard pedals that cost 5x sound worse. There’s no point in me stating which expensive pedals it’s not quite on par with, but it gets close, so if you’re not recording, this is the pedal to grab. For bedroom jamming, or band practice, or pretty much anywhere including the studio, this unit does just fine. I do prefer the MXR for recording, but this isn’t far off honestly. I think it beats the Danelectro and Ibanez budget lines, and I think it beats pretty much every other sub-£50 delay pedal floating around online. This is now a fixture on my bedroom pedalboard. I believe it’s worth the £30 regardless. Even as just an alternative flavor.

This pedal is great! I love the punch it packs, and use it at every show!

What can I say? I’m consistently impressed with Donner. They are a solid company. The Wave is a switchable analog or delay delay pedal that just sounds really beautiful and works well. The analog regenerations are very pleasing for ambient guitar sound especially. It could be your only delay pedal if you care about sound quality more than features, but personally I really enjoy it between an EQD Dispatch Master and Strymon Flint with foot control. I really adds a nice warm organic sounding level of warm analog regenerated repeats that sound excellent set slightly lower in the mix to really warm up the ambient vibe. I really dig it. I also am a proud owner of their Tube Driver for years and it rocks! Analog, true bypass, transparent, simple controls, low power draw, and it gets loud—what’s not to love? It honestly rivals a TubeScreamer, it’s not less good: they’re both great at a slightly different sound but neither produce a lesser or better quality sound in my honest opinion The Donner Ultimate Comp is also really good and is an optical compressor that rivals the excellent Diamond Compressors. My favorite way to use that pedal is to max out the level and minimize the comp: this makes for a very satisfying rock lead performance, especially before a good volume boost—you can actually nail the Pink Floyd solo sound from Another Brick in the Wall part 2 with this bad boy. I also have two of their power sources and they fixed my pedalchain’s buzzes and squeals; just make sure you find out the mAh power draw of your pedals to make sure each port provides even juice. You can spend 200 bucks or more on similar pedals or get a Donner and be happy when you hear how good this stuff sounds. If you need a thousand features to distract you, look elsewhere—Donner is for musicians who care about sound quality and know that much of their sound is in their own hands and they can make a Donner pedal (especially analog ones) sound really, really good.

works good does not make alot of unwanted noise

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I am very pleased with the effects produced by this pedal. This pedal has a solid feel. For analog delay, 20ms-620ms delay time is sufficient.Although it has a small size, it is equipped with the basic adjustment knobs. There are three function knobs, namely LEVEL, F.BACK and TIME. LEVEL is used to set the delay volume. F.BACK is to set the repeated notes. TIME is used to set Delay time. Two models: MOD and NORMAL. True bypass switch lets your instrument’s signal pass through a bypass line when the effect is off, feeding your amp with direct, unfiltered signal from your guitar. It will also make some bizarre sounds if you crank it!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I really like that the pedal is very sturdy, compact, nice looking, simple and has intuitive controls. It provides a much fuller sound for both clean and distorted guitar in combination with other pedals. I consider it a very good addition to my equipment set.

Perfect little delay pedal. Sturdy and stout, small and compact. Gives you the perfect delay. Can’t beat the price either

Been looking for a good delay for a bit and this little guy is perfect. I really like the small form pedals as space is always an issue for me. The sound though! I love the super wet drippy surf sound I can get from it. But normally just use a bit in the background to fill out my sound. Both settings sound great for different applications. I use the warm setting for the surfy sound and the other for clean tones. This is a keeper on my pedal board for sure!

The first thing I noticed when I unboxed this pedal was it is solid as a brick. It feels weighty in the hand. For a mini pedal it is built like a tank. I would have no qualms about stepping on this baby. I have full size pedals that feel less dense. I'm slowly swapping out my full-size pedals for mini ones so I can have a smaller pedalboard to carry around. This box produces lush soundscapes. It has a switch to toggle between an warm analog sound and a crisper digital sound. It had three knobs. Level: the mix of dry and wet signal. Time: Length of Delay and Feedback: the number of repeats. Crank the feedback knob all the way up and you can get some trippy atmospheric space sounds to play with. I play in a punk band with somewhat of a surf tinge to it, so I love how I could get that sound with this pedal, but we also have a few atmospheric stoner jams, and the longer delays and warm sounds that this pedal generates are perfect for that. It's totally worth the money.

This is not my first “budget” pedal but it is by far my best. The pedal itself is really well made, solid with a good feel to it. It’s small footprint will work well on a pedal board.
The sound itself is beyond what I was expecting warm had a nice tone and digital made for some great effects as you dialed up the time.
Over all you can’t go wrong for the price.
Zachary
The Warm sound is more vintage with more low mid. The Digital sound is brighter and the sound range is broader. I use it with distortion for solos and that little delay sounds amazing. I love Donner pedals, quality at low price.

The range is 20ms to 300ms. It's a big plus to have two choices, Warm or Digital.

The Donnor Wave Delay is a nano (very small) analog delay pedal. I love the small footprint as it allows me to keep my board as small as possible. There are three function knobs, LEVEL, F.BACK and TIME. LEVEL is used to set the delay volume. F.BACK is to set the repeated notes. TIME is used to set Delay time. Two models: MOD and NORMAL. This is true bypass. The delay ranges from 20ms-620ms delay time which can suit a wide range of needs for the average guitarist.
The price can't be beat, delivery was fast and the pedal comes with the usual candy of stickers and warranty

The Donner Wave looks great and sounds even better. The controls are very easy to use. The toggle switch lets you switch from an analog to a digital delay. The level knob controls the volume of the wet signal. Feedback controls the amount of repeats and time controls how many repeats. Takes very little room on my pedalboard. Can't beat it for the price.

Donner has really been upping their game lately. The pedal comes well-padded in a nice box. It has a great padded base that stops the pedal from sliding around. The case is metal, and the switch has a nice solid click to it. It’s obviously really small, but the knobs are easy to dial in the sound you need. It doesn’t add any noise to my signal when disengaged, and doesn’t color the sound when it is. The toggle-switch selects between warm and digital which is a good description – the digital mode adds some digital artifacts to the repeats. I love how analog the warm mode sounds. The feedback knob controls the number of repeats, and beyond 3 o-clock it can create some really amazing feedback-type sounds you can control with the speed of with the main knob. The main knob can set the speed of the repeat from nearly instant, similar to a quick reverb or almost a chorus. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. And I think the green light to match the green casing was a great touch!

These are truly great pedals. I am using them behind Boss and Ibanez premiums to add texture and tone. For this purpose they are superb but even standalone, they are truly amazing value for money.
