A little overly saturated and muddy when cranked. But after tweaking it a bit, got a great metal lead tone. The price is awesome. Built pretty strong except where power supply goes in, a little loose feeling. Overall I love it and it’s on my board.

I was hesitant to try mini pedals as I was unsure of the sound quality. This being said I was delightfully surprised at the great sound they produce. The distortion sound is great and very comparable to the larger pedals while taking up half the space. Just be careful not to stomp it too hard as the toggle switches appear a little easier to break.

I'll first start out by saying I'm a pretty big fan of the donner mini pedals , I've got an excellent wah pedal , a noise killer and the giant metal as well as the blues drive pedals. I'm very pleased with all of them , but I'm not impressed with the extreme driver distortion. I've used it through several guitars and find it to be very tinny and hollow sounding. There's to much of a treble high pitch sound. Although it's not what I was expecting I will still purchase from donner , I've got some patch cables and a 10 pedal power supply that I have no problems with. Although I was disappointed by this pedal I can't complain , 1 out of 5 isn't bad. Especially for pedals that are reasonably priced...

The donner extreme driver has a very clear good pitch although a novice guitarist don't know much about guitars bought a kids guitar in lockdown and an old 80s amp I recommend it to other guitarists as it has a good price tag

I love this pedal! Donner has done it again! Very Sturdy Mini that packs a punch! Great tone! Great Distortion! It has a three-way switch for Normal, Ultra & Tube settings. It comes in it's own very nice box with instruction sheet.

Great value for money. Use it all the time. Gain can get noisy but it isn’t expensive so you get what you pay for. The toggle switch is very handy for different tones and works well in going into the front of the amp.

i am not into pedal and keep in my this is a very small pedal. For me using at home is fine. On a stage it would easily get lost if not kicked and lost! However it does have a great sound and is excellent value.

Very happy with this little fella. Well made and good tones (Rat meets 80's fuzz). A little noisy beyond 3 o clock on the gain dial but I rarely have it that high and nothing a noise gate wouldn't sort out. Looks good too on my 'afford-a-board'! :) Suits a classic rock sound. Very happy with purchase - excellent value for money

Absolutely great pedal for getting that DS1 sound at a great price in such a compact pedal. The toggle switch make a big difference so with the tone, level and distortion knobs it has massive variety.
As a DS1 sound, it's great though!

I have owned several overdrive and distortion pedals over the years so have also sold a lot too. I try not to re-buy however sometimes I get a hankering after an old favourite I sold.
I was missing my Boss DS1 but wasn't keen on re-buying so thought I'd give this Donner a go and I'm really impressed. I had a DS2 at one point as well and this little pedal pretty much gets that sound sorted as well.
Great distortion and dynamics plus a large range of sounds, you just can't go wrong. Very happy.

Donner EXTREME Driver.
This pedal is worthy! I am blown away at the sound of this little thing. I have to say this is one of the best distortion pedals, I have ever owned! The Donner OD extreme is small and packs a big punch. I was very surprised how quiet the pedal is when switched to OD “no clicking sound” I need that!! Another great thing about this pedal is, it’s so small, and built really well. I put it through the stomp test and it comes out a winner. I bet this pedal will be reliable for many years to come. I have to say that Donner is an awesome company, they are responsive, and answer any questions you have regarding all their great products. Everything they sell is very fair priced and exceeds all expectations. Great packaging, the box it comes in is very good for keeping it new looking when it’s not in use.
I personally like the tube sound that comes from this pedal. It’s made in China. Doesn’t take a 9volt battery, “power only”. Mine works flawlessly. I play blues and it sounds so good through my solid state amps as well as my tube amps, no issues at all.
I recommend you add this pedal to your collection, you won’t regret it.
Donner keeps making great pedals and I’m happy to see new products making it to the scene. It’s so small you could put it in your pocket to bring to practice or the gig. Great way to have an extra pedal in the gig bag, just in case you forgot your pedal board. So many good reasons to buy this pedal. The price is so low and the quality is very high. I’m sure this will become a very popular pedal in the very near future and be around for a long time. I really do like this pedal a lot and it has now replaced my old OD pedal ok my main pedal board. Get one ASAP! Great for blues, rock and even metal.

This pedal is one of the newer styles that are smaller that “traditional” pedals and requires a center negative power supply. This is fine because a steady 9v makes it consistent and I have to plug in my amp anyway. It comes in a really nice box that can be used to keep it when not in use. This is nice for transport or if you don’t have a pedal board. The pedal itself has a sturdy case and everything is firmly mounted. The footswitch is completely silent in operation, there are no weird clicks, hisses or pops. A simple instruction sheet was included, but plugging in and dialing around is the best way to learn it all. There are also many videos of this pedal on the Internet.
The Donner Extreme Driver Analog Turbo Distortion Guitar Effect Pedal is supposed to mimic the popular 1980s orange colored pedal with the normal setting. But this one goes 2 steps farther with the addition of a toggle switch with a Tube setting and an Ultra setting.
I plugged in a humbuckcer loaded guitar and then the pedal directly into my tube amp. The Normal setting was exactly what I expected from a standard distortion pedal. On the Tube setting, I dialed it in to a smooth and creamy tone with just enough overdrive to the classic 70s sounds I know and love. The Ultra setting is that with a little bit more of a harder edge. Both the Tube and the Ultra sound also provide a nice light boost over the Normal setting. With the tone control, you can go from light and fizzy to hard and fuzzy (though not true fuzz). Lots of really nice tones are possible so I like the versatility.
Uses? Definitely practice, as a spare or additional distortion pedal in the chain. It’s good for someone who is new to pedals or can’t decide on what kind to buy. I like offbeat pedals and those out of the mainstream for the unique sounds they may have. I myself would gig with it and it should be more than enough for durability. I take care of my gear anyway, so what kind of adverse conditions will it see?
For those of you who may not know, you will need a negative center 9v power supply and a second instrument cable to connect this between your instrument and amp.
Based on this quality, I recommend this and I will look at what Donner offers when getting more pedals in the future.

I have only had this a few hours and already love the ability to toggle between the three settings Tube, Ultra and Normal and customise them further with the level, gain and tone. The price point of £22 delivered next day is great as well. This performs as well if not better than my DOD FX53 Overdrive pedal which may now be consigned to the for sale pile! A great sounding pedal in a small form factor, what's not to like?
