Well fair play I took a chance on this little pedal just to push the front end of my 501 burman hand wired valve amps and it's amazing ,not a lot if gain but just enough to push my amps that little bit further , great product ,low noise, could be a classic for the future

Does exactly what it's supposed to do, very good performance and a good price.

I loved it from the moment I plugged it in. Perfect for stacking with other drives. I run it at fairly low gain into a
clean vintage American sounding "amp in a box" type pedal, and put a middling gain BB type overdrive in at the front for a bluesy lead.
The Dumbal adds a big dollop of cream, and a lot of variety of character if I need it.

Another great pedal from Donner. I really need another pedal board for them now, mines full. I love this one, you can get some great sounds out of it, easy to dial in a great AC/DC sound and some nice blusey tones. I'd really recommend this one.

I didn't know what to expect, when I bought this pedal
As I soon found out its very subtle, and nothing like my other overdrives.
So what use is it ? Well that was answered as soon as I stacked it into the other overdrive. It transforms them into a multilayer gritty sound, beautiful.
Does it sound like a Dumble amp, who knows? Who cares ?
Its brilliant as a touch of spice to an already delicious sound.

Fantastic pedal very transparent does not colour your sound. Very good representation of a Dumble amp. Silent in operation. Recomended.

Transformative tone! Uplifts all parameters and the "feel" is the best yet.

I was stunned at how good this Dumble pedal is... Its not in your face overdrive or anything like that at all. Yet It's very subtle and very effective and produces sounds to be proud off. Nothing over the top but sounds and feels great. Like a quality pedal should.. The 3 way mode switch is the same subtle but effective.. Slight but noticeable differences in the sounds.. I like position 3 but all 3 are great..

Don't know if it's actually simulating a Dumbal sound or not. But it is a fantastic overdrive pedal. Very transparent sounding. The select-able Clipping is great. But it's BEST feature is it's separate Bass and Treble controls. They may not be for for everyone because unlike most EQ controls on pedals that are subtractive (meaning you can only take away some bass or treble, on this pedal, the Bass and Treble are "flat" at 12:00, and you can actually add more Bass and Treble when turned up beyond that. This causes them to to be "interactive" with the Gain and Vol controls. For me, that's great. I can add some Bass or Treble and reduce the Gain to compensate. So, you can get "Amp" like additive EQ, and adjust Gain and Vol Controls accordingly. Again, this is not for everyone's taste. But I love the way this pedal can sound. Someone said it's a Timmy clone. Well not quite, but for $50, it comes close to that type of OD sound. I would classify this OD pedal in the "Mild OD" category that has a very transparent sound. Somewhat like a Klon Centaur, but with better EQ controls. Great for an Always On pedal in the front of your chain, and works great when "stacked" with other OD or Distortion pedals. Donner has a real winner with this pedal.

I purchased this overdrive pedal to compare with my old standby, the Ibanez TS9DX Turbo Tube Screamer. While the pedals may seem different at first, the basis of comparison stems from the fact that they're both multi-mode overdrives. I wanted to see how the Dumble stacks up.
The Dumble has one obvious edge in the fact that it has 2 band eq, where the TS9DX only has a single tone knob. The Dumble has a good, thick, gritty overdrive that tends to do better the dirtier you get with it. Compared to the TS9DX, the Dumble is less transparent and adds its own character to your tone. It's hard to get a bad sound out of the Dumble, but for pure tone I prefer the TS9DX. However, if you consider the cost, the Dumble is quite a deal.
If you had to pick one overdrive to do it all, I personally would recommend something besides the Dumble, but if you have several overdrive pedals and you're looking for something with its own voice, the Dumble is a good fit.

I purchased this Donner Dumbal drive on the advice of a friend who has great ears for tone..
The pedal was delivered just two days after ordering, which truly amazed me.
It comes well packaged and has a quality feel to it.
In testing, it gave my guitar signal a nice muscular boost (both with single coils and humbuckers).
The tone controls are very effective, even set with the ‘Hendrix roll’, as seen in the picture.
So far, I’m extremely pleased with the Dumbal, and the way it pushes the front end of my amps.
Next up will be a test with my pedal steel guitar, which is higher output and should serve up some great overdriven sounds.

I have lots of pedals, to many to count. This pedal is a very transparent blues driver style pedal. It is awesome! Especially for the price. It actually is becoming one of my favorite pedals. Highly recommend for the price. It doesn’t get super dirty, is great for blues, country, and rock... but it sounds full and transparent and does what it does very well!

Great pedal sounds great very durable this is my second dinner brand and I'll be buying more donner products for sure

This pedal is the best lower gain overdrive pedal I have ever heard and owned. It’s so good that I leave it on most of the time!!

Love the pedal. It adds a bit of color to the tone. I am always tone searching, and this was a pleasant find, especially for the cost. Competes with pedals at quite a higher cost.

This is a compact, sturdy and quality Overdrive Pedal. Its distinctive character for sure can please nearly all guitarists. The tight controls allow you to tailor your drive sound exactly the way you want. I am very impressed with the power and clarity at high gain levels. This pedal really pushes the guitar signal and has a very touch sensitive feel! It is a very usable overdrive which can dial in a very effective amount of gain. It really dose a nice job.

It took me to sit down in front of amp and really listen to this pedal as I changed the gain and equalizer bass and trebel and the switches. I found the pick attack is the trick here. It sounds like you clicking your fingers on a glass globe to high gain action in the gain knob. The treble will make it scream and in the neck position it can have a Klon JM sound. Good value.
