Excellent very flexible pedal that is well build

Got for the tremolo for a particular song. Loving the other effects & tweakability! Great value to try a few new things. Might just be mine but the push button makes quite a loud physical click when pressed (although works well & seems well made). 1st Donner pedal for me but probably not the last..

A great value, solid pedal. Tremelo effect is particularly good and most of the the other effects are decent and useable. Recommended to spice up your pedal board if you don't currently use modulation effects.

Perfect modulation pedal with many fx choices!!

Amazing little effects pedal. Huge range of sounds possible and I know I have only just scratched the surface on what it can produce. Please remember you will need an adapter and a short cable to make this work.

Great space saving multi-effects modulation pedal and terrific value!

I like every effect on this pedal

I thought it was too good to have all these effects in one little pedal at this price

Very controllable modulation effects, you can really dial in a sweet where it’s needed. Whether you’re looking to add just a subtle touch of a particular modulation or go full on with 1 of the 7 effects, it’s definitely covered by the Donner Mod Square. Another great part of the Mod Sqaure is that isn’t drop any of your original signal when engaging the pedal.

Great pedal! Small but sturdy and has great tone. I am happy with every single effect that is on this pedal. It is also nice that it fits anywhere on my pedal board.

Recommended highly if modulation is something you only use now and then. The phaser, tremolo, and rotary options were especially nice. I would say that the effects shine with low to moderate settings though the tremolo sounded good at extreme settings as well. I would also say this is a great option for younger players who might not be as familiar with these effects; it’s like a buffet of choices so you can narrow down what works for you.

I recently decided it was finally time to complete my pedal collection - for the time being - and I was looking for a modulation multi effect. I typically use modulation sparingly as a color and the Donner pedal fits the bill for me. You get a wide selection of sounds that get the job done. I like that the pedal only takes up a small amount of space and is surprisingly robust for its price. The build quality feels on par with a Boss pedal. As with all multi effects none of the individual effects are as good as individual pedals but for jamming along with friends, playing along with a record, playing live, and being able to spice up your sound on the fly, this is a really good and versatile bargain.

I'm so happy with this pedal! Great tone, small price, beautiful finished and so small....fits perfectly on the board.
It has a perfect tone for every of the 7 effects in it. Such a bright chorus sound, amazin tremolo, really good phaser tone...everything sounds just perfect. Really liked the way the effects changes and react, as you go messing with each knob.
I've used so many modulation pedal in my life, and most recently, used all modulations on the Line 6 M9 (which has a great quality on the effects), and I have to say, this little pedal here loses nothing on the comparision with the M9.
So glad to know that we can trust on this small price pedal Donner has made.

I mainly purchased this for the vibrato effect. Turns out the chorus (there are two voicings) is decent for a “value”’pedal. The downside for the vibrato is the depth control doesn’t go low enough for my purposes (I prefer an almost imperceptible movement). Also, the effect control has to be cranked a little too much to attain unity. I have a Kokko vibrato that I like a more for a budget pedal (w/a soft switch). Trem is ok. I personally don’t care for the phaser or flanger settings, so won’t use them. The rotary is not good - won’t use it either (but I have dedicated rotary pedals, so not an issue). The metal case is solid, but the micro plastic knobs would probably not hold up to a heavy foot stomp. True bypass is a plus. Tone is not negatively affected when the pedal is off. Got this and the Donner echo square - the delays are good in that pedal, and using the Mod Square’s vibrato gives a nice modulation to any of the delays. See photo.

I own a handful of Donner pedals, they have been great values in the past. This one might be my favorite.
The packaging was superb and the build quality is fantastic. The switch is solid and you know when you are turning the effect on and off.
The two chorus settings are very good. My favorite setting is the tremolo setting. Reminds me of the tremolo on my Fender Bandmaster amp. I've found uses for the tremolo effect in songs that I play with my band. The flanger is also very good.
What I love most about this pedal is that I am not much of a modulation kind of player and do not have space on my pedal board for a chorus, tremolo, vibrato, phaser, and flanger pedal. This pedal has a home on my pedalboard and will see regular use. Cannot recommend this one highly enough!

I think this is a great pedal to get tour rig up and running for little money. Its sturdy and quiet. I like all the options.

It arrived less than 16 hours later. Absolutely stunning for the price - company could charge three or four times what they do and I'd still say it was a good investment. Several effects, all of which could have their own price tag, and all sound fantastic. Like any pedal in existence, you have to dial it in a bit to your preference, but yeah that's kind of how this works.
Fantastic service and product, and they even sent me a cute little card with the pedal. I really recommend this for anyone that needs a multi-effect pedal. Chorus, flanger, and phaser are exactly what I hoped they'd be. Straight up steal, for the price!

Great pedals for the price. Particularly impressed with the Mod Square pedal. So many great sounds from such a small unit. Compares well with units twice the price easily

This is very handy little pedal. I don’t use a lot of effects and the 7 modulation effects on the Mod Square are all I need. There might be better individual separate effects pedals out there but the effects on this pedal are all very decent and useable. The 2 chorus settings are very good and good to have the option. The other 5 effects are pretty good too. True by pas and not noisy. Great value. Would recommend at this price.

Very useable effects. My personal favourite is the flanger, but the chorus, phaser, rotary and tremelo sounds are all very useable. It is worth making a note of your preferred settings for each effect to save time when changing from one to the other, but on balance, this little pedal gives you a lot of flexibility within your sound palette.

Good solid little pedal that sounds surprisingly good for the price and is far better made than I expected at the price point.
James Stewart
The other time based effects work pretty much as you'd expect, with plenty of madness possible. I found them all to be perfectly pleasant, if not downright impressive.
The vibrato and tremolo work nicely too, with plenty of depth available on both. The tremolo seems to be half way between a square wave and a sine wave, which to my ear is perfect.
Yeah, I have no hesitation in recommending the Donner Digital Mod Square 7 pedal.
Eric B.
It has multiple effects on it which makes it ok but it doesn't do any of them well there kind of weak I guess if you need a flanger get a flanger iif you need a chorus get a chorus and etc. etc. etc.

Since I don't use modulation all that much I could not justify spending any more than necessary on a pedal to have in my tool kit but still wanted a quality unit.
This unit is VERY solidly built and the fact that it has so many options makes it well worth the investment.
I've played around with every one of the effects and each of them sounds good and is easily adjustable and the small footprint is a big plus.
Donner seems to be turning out some very good pedals at excellent prices.

I was looking for a versatile modulation pedal that covered basic effects on a budget and that wouldn't take up a tone of room on my board. I found the Donner Mod Square, great little pedal so far.
RONIN KILGANNON
Donner never disappoints me! I own multiple pedals when making noise music, but this one has to be the best of them all! Multiple settings, multiple sounds, and multiple manipulations when making my variant of noise music and power electronics!

I have been looking at expanding my pedal collections for some time now. I came across Donner Guitar pedals, and was very curious to try them out. I did see some reviews on YouTube and everyone for the most part thought that these pedals rocked. I just ordered my first one, and like the title says was very impressed! I think what impressed me the most was that for the price, the build quality did not suffer. This thing is made to take a pounding. It has good weight to it, and case is made from some sort of metal. The sound from this thing was awesome. I plugged this into my FX loop, and it colored the sound nicely. I still need to dial my sound in, but I know that this pedal can deliver. I would defensively recommend this product to any player that needs solid performance from an affordable devise. Can't wait to order my next one!!!
